There is a small parking lot at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient.
The hotel's service is very good, the phone consultation is very patient at night, the front desk clerk Xiao Wang in the morning helps solve the guest's problem, warm and thoughtful.

The check in staff are so helpful n professional. Especially one lady she helped me to change a bigger bed due the first light I stay in 1.5 m bed I wish I could have a 1.8m wide.
All of them are so good n attentive
I also praise the room service maids as they are very friendly nice, always say hi whenever I meet them in the corridor.
Breakfast is good n the staff are very polite n hardworking as I notice there are only two staff on spot, but quite efficient

There is no obvious sign for the hotel apartment, so you can only follow the navigation. It is on the second floor of Building 18. It is close to the subway station and Wuyue Plaza, and you can also walk to the beach. The surrounding facilities are quite good. The room itself is average in price. The price is doubled during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. There are not many choices for breakfast, and the taste is average. It is recommended to remove the smell of the basin in the corridor of the room. There is really a strange smell as soon as you enter the room. The bath water is still good in this season. You can take a bath for two or three people without waiting. The room facilities and hygiene are average.

The hotel is located in the Wuyue Plaza building. It has a refrigerator and a washing machine. Downstairs is a shopping mall, a supermarket, and Daguoqiang seafood. There is also a night market at night. It is far from Golden Beach and Silver Beach by bike. It is recommended to rent an electric bike. We rented a Meiyangyang electric bike, which is near the hotel. The sister is very nice. It costs 59 yuan for 12 hours and a deposit of 200 yuan. The battery is super durable. It is recommended. You can stop and go as you like, enjoy the breeze along the beach, and eat at Haowa Night Market at night. It is much cheaper than Taitung. I recommend Silver Beach more. The water quality is better, there are relatively fewer people, and it is closer to Yumingzui. Golden Beach is next to Beer World and there is more food.

GGuest UserQingdao Shangri-la's service needs major improvements, the level of negligence and sheer rudeness of staff was shocking and unfitting for a second tier city like Qingdao. We really expected better.
We stayed at the hotel for five nights in May. We arrived in the afternoon around 4pm -- way past the earliest time for check in, but were told by the staff that the room is not ready. They only allowed us to keep our luggage with the reception, and couldn't even tell us when the room will be ready again. What's worse -- we had to ask in order to get a slight upgrade. This is the worst service I've seen in a five-star hotel in China.
There's more. We visited the mediteranean restaurant in the hotel for a quick pre-dinner drink and snack, as we got a voucher with our stay. After we ordered drinks, a complimentary snack and some fries, the Chinese staff commented, ”You guys are eating very little”. That's quite unimaginable to me to be treated as such in an upscale venue like this. We didn't want to spend more at that restaurant, even though the quality of the food was fine.
Shangri-la, please train your Chinese staff and align them with your global standards. Guests deserve better.

This restaurant provides Chinese and western breakfasts, lunches and diners. It has a good restaurant decorated with southwest style and a private Chinese restaurant that can be enjoyed. First and foremost, the receptionist displayed exceptional customer service. Our early morning arrival was met with a warm welcome and an unexpected early check-in. This considerate gesture allowed us to freshen up and kick-start our adventure, setting a positive tone for our stay.
During our visit, there was a minor hiccup with housekeeping - a misplaced pair of Nike Air Max shoes. Thankfully, the vigilant receptionist swiftly resolved the issue, locating and returning the missing item promptly. To make amends for the inconvenience, they went the extra mile, offering a small gift and complimentary breakfast coupons as a gesture of goodwill. Such attentiveness to guest needs is truly commendable.
While we chose to explore authentic local cuisine during our trip, bypassing hotel dining, I cannot provide feedback on the food quality or variety.
In terms of location, this hotel scores points for convenience. Taxis are readily available, and it took us just 30 minutes to reach the stunning Laoshan Mountain, a must-visit destination. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a bustling night market right across the street adds to its appeal.
However, there's room for improvement, notably in the cleanliness department. The bathrooms, in particular, left much to be desired, with an unpleasant odour lingering during our stay. Broken equipment, such as the wardrobe, was also in need of repair. Furthermore, the electric kettle was not up to our cleanliness standards, discouraging its use.
In summary, this hotel offers excellent customer service, convenient access to transportation and local attractions, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. However, attention to cleanliness and maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, is an area that could use some enhancement.

RRachelle MaeLocation is great because our intention was to be in the Laoshan District. Might not be easy if most of your plans are in the touristy areas such as the Tsingtao Brewery Museum. Anyway, there is Metro (underground subway) which helped us address that in case we wanted to have a look at downtown. The hotel is a 10 min walk from either Haiyou or Haichuan stations in Line 2.
We’re not so much of a fan of Chinese food for breakfast, so the free breakfast was not fascinating for us. They did have eggs and bread.
There is an elevator to help us carry or luggage all the way to our floors. And the room was neat and clean, and they clean it every time we’re out.

The front desk of the hotel said that there was a free coffee gift on the first night, and a glass of ice latte was really delicious! ! I asked the front desk to know that this was prepared by the hotel owner. The boss himself is also a coffee hobby. He uses the good beans that the boss drinks by himself. Like me like coffee to live must taste, better than star dad.
I am used to staying in a chain hotel. It is rare to encounter a hotel that makes me feel warm and cost-effective. It is worth my serious evaluation and worth recommending.
