beautiful property, but I only had 6 hours total to enjoy plus the weather was awful, cold and foggy, so barely could see 1 meter from my balcony. the room was comfortable and well appointed, as was the bathroom. the swing open shutters for one to sit and soak in the tub and see the sea out the balcony door (unfortunately I didnt have the time) 5 complaints though: 1) there were perhaps 8 rooms occupied the night I stayed, yet the staff put all guests in the same place, so loud neighbors and cleaning staff without any sense of etiquette could wake me up at 630am 2) VIP lounge was closed 3) pool and gym was closed 4) lighting controls were primitive and one switch by the bed kills all power, including any outlet to charge your electronics... 5)TV was 80% static image, like it was connected to a rabbit ears aerial from 1970s instead of HDMI digital STB. staff was friendly but didnt speak one word of English... I would expect more from a 5 star western chain

This is not your top five-star hotel, if that's what you're after. I've seen much better ones. BUT, I somehow had the best swimming beach vacation since 1975 at this hotel. Problems: 1) worn-out towels: 2) no clothing cupboard; 3) no bathrobes; 4) smallish room size; 5) noone speaks English at the check-in desk 6) no in-room safe. Havingg said that, I REALLY enjoyed a simple swimming beach vacation at this holiday. They clean up my room when I asked them to; They don't bother you when you're there; they're friendly when you check in or out. And there's a common refrigerator at the check-in desk if you really need to have your food to be preserded for a couple of days. One problem: DIDi cars have a hard time accessing you: the road outside the Hoel is pretty much heavily-used, so get ready to facing difficulties when getting to your DIDI ride... Overall, a very positive outlook. Will definitely come again Positives: 1) Great Location. Right on the Bathing Beach 1; 2) Helpful Destk Sfuff; 3) Located In the best Qingdao historical area of Badaguan; 4) near the best Qingdao sea food restaurants; 5) you'll get the best of the sun and ocean vacation overall. Sitting in front of the window, drinking tea and looking at the endless sea, and the Wheat Island in the distance, Qingdao in September, the sky is high and the sea is wide, the scenery is beautiful, you can lie on the tatami and listen to the sound of the waves, or soak in the bathtub and watch the waves of the sea, get up early and open the curtains to see the sunrise, it's so comfortable, the hotel staff are very enthusiastic, will take the initiative to introduce meals and play routes, the room is clean and tidy, it is the best of all the hotels I have stayed in, the surrounding transportation is also very convenient, you can call an online car directly to the hotel entrance, or you can take a bus out of the community and walk to Wheat Island, Maidao Road only takes 15 minutes, there are several good seafood restaurants on Maidao Road, the seaside plank road below the hotel is particularly good for taking pictures, you can also catch the sea when the sea water is low tide, I also caught a lot of crabs, this stay left me with a particularly good impression, next time I come to Qingdao, I will choose here again!
