YyokojsJust back from Egypt and spent the last 5 days here, highly recommended!
We arrived on Jan 6 and by chance the dinner was promoted due to east European festival, had really extraordinary experiences. The food of course in the other days were good as well of course. :-)
The private beach is cool, excellent for the snorkeling. The water was not very cold and I was kind of weak therefore got wet suit, so everything is fine.
And do ask the lifeguard where the sea cow is!
Actually there could be many programs to have a day trip or so, in the hotel there are also plenty programs to join in like Yoga and beach volleyball. They have nearly live show also everyday. While I preferred to enjoy 3 meals, beach and go snorkelling since it is fantastic for me already. :P
Moreover, the team of Hilton Marsa Alam is great. Ashraf, Hussein, and team helped me a lot, and they are super nice and ready for help all the time. The room is super clean and I was promoted to a sea-view huge room and the bed is over 2 meters I think it is a Cleopatra bed :DDD
By the way you could take GoBus to arrive the hotel if you do not need much to take taxi or so.
Or like us, we came actually from Luxor and took a ride (private pickup truck, 2ppl 50 egyptian pound) near Marsa Alam to the hotel. I guess not many chose our way.
Again, highly recommended.
And thank you so much, I wish I could be there soon.
VVladi TropIt's a huge hotel with potentially beautiful gardens in the future. Unfortunately, the hotel is still in construction and it's annoying to have a tractor driving around you while you are chilling on the beach. There are works at the main part of the hotel, between the beach and the main pool and they start around 7AM.
Another disappointing point was the limited internet that was capped at 1Mbps. Mobile internet works well in the area though.
Lack of proper entertainment in the evening as well, lack of greenery. Lot's of things feel unpolished.
Food was great and the hotel in general is huge and pleasant to walk, rooms are modern.
We were satisfied with our visit to the hotel. After the reviews, we were at a loss as to how everything would be, because of mentions of different behavior towards Italians, but the worries disappeared within two days. Staff, helpful smiling. The food was good, European type, so we always ate. The deluxe room is pleasant, clear, modern. Beach 3 minutes walk. The only problem we had was with Muhamed El Baz who serves at the Deluxe bar. I have never experienced such a reluctant bartender. He acted normal for the first two days, but once we formed a larger group of people to meet at the bar, he immediately changed his attitude. It annoyed him that he had to serve. He overlooked us, deliberately not pouring. He spent 70% of his time on the phone or with a cigarette. He was leaving, the bar was empty and people were thirsty. How many times we didn't get a drink even after half an hour even though there were 6 people there. Terrible experience. It bothered him that we were laughing. He also had some stupid things to say about us. The last day of our vacation was so unpleasant that it ruined my entire evening. Such a person should not work among people.
