Our family stayed at the Lordos Beach Hotel in July 2024 for 11 nights and we had a tremendous experience for many reasons. Prior to our visit we wanted to find out some information regarding the hotel and sent an email with our enquiries, within a few hours of sending the email we received a detailed reply from the manager Nicolas answering all of our questions. Nicolas attentiveness set the tone for our whole holiday, he came to greet us on our first morning after breakfast and continued to be conscientious throughout our stay. We arrived at the hotel late (around 11pm) but the desk staff were most welcoming. They gave us two complementary meal vouchers as we had missed the earlier lunch and dinner. Sofia completed all the check-in papers and offered fresh ice cold lemonade which was well received after a long journey. The concierge showed us to our room which was a side sea view junior suite with an outdoor terrace. The room was beautifully decorated, extremely clean with comfortable beds and spacious for our family of four We then went to the bar where we met Roman the wonderful bartender who greeted us warmly and served us our first drinks and so began our amazing experience with the Lordos Beach Hotel. On the first morning at breakfast we were greeted by Andreea who helped us navigate the breakfast area (and during many meals thereafter). We were then met by the amazing waitress Galina who throughout our holiday would great us in the mornings with her infectious smile and ensured we had everything we needed. Galina also introduced us to Zivania - a Cypriot drink and the frappes which we were able to order at breakfast. For cold drinks, there is an ice bucket, it’s a little bit out of sight but it is located on the right side of the breakfast room near the second set of coffee machines. Bougatsa (made fresh every day) with a strong coffee was one of our favourite ways to start our Cypriot breakfast. There was always a superb selection of cooked food (and you can order plain omelette or just take the filled freshly made ones), There were fresh salads, fruit, newly made pastry, cakes (including chocolate cake 😊 ) and spanakopita – to mention only a few. Lunch and dinner are usually buffet style (if included in full board). Dinner had a different cuisine every evening and the food was simply outstanding with Executive Chef Michael and his fantastic team preparing the most delicious delicacies each day with care and skill. The food was simply marvelous!!! There was a very professional young chef who was present throughout the dinner making sure the food was perfect for the guests. He was very helpful explaining the various food items and recommending items when asked. The dining room always looked amazing and has a smart dress code in the evenings but the staff were also OK with guests who did not have the proper attire.
