I didn’t stay here. This was the “hostel”used for Peru Hop. How and why they are partnering with this dump I don’t know. The reception area downstairs is absolutely freezing and the toilet is filthy. It has never been cleaned. The “host” is miserable AF and doesn’t even bother with simple pleasantries. The breakfast consisted of two stone cold pieces of bread with butter and jam, it was only 8 soles so whatever. I’m glad that I didn’t stay here, and I feel lucky that it’s NOT my house.

The room is decent for its price. But the cleanliness definitely can be improved. The pillow cases are quite gross as well. We have to put a towel on top of it to sleep. The location is definitely great but it's quite noisy and the bedroom is quite stuffy and dusty if the window is not open.

I came to Puno just as altitude sickness was beginning to set in and the guy at the front desk was so welcoming and enthusiastically helpful, constantly checking up on me and taking time to talk to me in passing. The room was comfortable as well and the views of Puno from the room were spectacular. The hostel is within walking distance of restaurants and along the same street as the pier which made getting around Puno easy. They also stored my luggage for me while I was waiting for the night bus. Excellent stay in Puno!

I booked a room to use during the day through Peru Hop The toilet did not flush properly and I had to push the cistern back towards the wall to get the water running and flushing There is mould, dirt and peeling paint in the bathroom The beds looked awful- I didn’t use them The doors to the room are flimsy The breakfast area looks like a dungeon Shame on Peru Hop for recommending this dump

Except for the location, near the Plaza de Armas in Puno, I don't highlight much about this hostel. They stored a free suitcase for us while we toured the lake. At breakfast they had no milk, the coffee was good, the bread from the day before, if they had coca tea available. The reception bathroom was not clean at any time of the day. It did not have toilet paper, when someone complained, they gave it to them, to later remove it from the bathroom. The facilities are very old. The staff can be friendly or quite arrogant depending on who is in charge and at what time, not all of them speak English. Although the shower has hot water, it takes a long time to come out. Little cleanliness in general.

We booked a room that was supposed to be at a discounted rate, however when we got there they were charging even less for the room on arrival and would not allow us to have the cheaper price. Wifi is only for an hour a day, so I’m not sure why we paid for it. And the staff were extremely unhelpful.

The hotel is in very poor condition. The room wasn't clean, it was extremely cold and the outlets didn't work. There are signs outside the hotel entrance saying "Duchas calientes" but the water was freezing.

Spent 1 day there. Stole bunch of my stuff from private room. Either they let someone to the room (no break in) or they did it themself. My room was closes to the reception, it's small place, no way they haven't noticed it. Even police didn't care much about it. Be careful if you go there. Everything from our backpacks was missing once we got back from day trip to Titicaca. Terrible experience! it was stolen from our private room and owners didn't care at all about it. DO NOT GO THERE! THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU!
