Having endured a highly unpleasant and intimidating check in, we were shown to a wonderfully appointed suite overlooking Lake Llanquihue and Volcan Osorno. Having only recently been built, the hotel has a modern design with rough concrete as a key structural feature throughout. Sadly, for us, it soon became evident that the AC emitted a sharp, penetrating buzz at intervals of a few minutes. Despite the best attempts of the maintenance team over the next 2 days, the fault could not be rectified, though it was much improved. It transpired that the problem is a long-standing one and widespread. The hotel readily offers ear plugs to guests! During our 4-night stay other maintenance issues also came to light. The other issue was noise from other guests: the design of the rooms is such that the fireplace opens into a flue, which travels from top to bottom of the hotel – thus one is exposed to every guest’s arguements, amorous overtures and, most disturbing, screaming youngsters! When one is expecting to enjoy a fine dinner, with stunning views of the Lake and Volcano Osorno, it is disappointing to be confronted with an overly rich, pretentious menu of mediocre quality food. Further, it was mainly served by pretentious, inexperienced staff (though there were notable exceptions) – one charged us for 3 bottles of wine (c.f. 3 glasses!). The breakfast buffet is extremely cramped and becomes overwhelmed (and depleted). We feel much saddened to write this review as the owner / manager is very attentive and willingly offered us some recompense for the problems we had encountered - but that was not our goal in choosing the Hotel Awa!

Fue una experiencia totalmente inolvidable,el hotel en sí mezcla muy bien la rusticidad del sur con el lujo.Habitaciones amplias y cómodas,con vista increíbles.El personal del hotel muy amable,siempre dispuesto a atender las necesidades que se fueron dando,destacar al guía “Alan”,gran persona,quien nos guió para conocer un poco más sobre el bello sur de Chile,también destacar a “Rodrigo” del restaurant,siempre muy atento y contento para ayudar,las gerentes del hotel siempre dispuestas ante todo,muy agradables.En general la atención brindada fue genial,así mismo las instalaciones del hotel,piscina,jacuzzi y spa de primera categoría,el restaurante cuenta con platos muy ricos,el único consejo va al desayuno donde debería haber más variedad. Fue una excelente estadía,muchas gracias

Excelentes instalaciones y atención. La vista insuperable, cama cómoda, personal siempre atento. Claudia, su gerenta, muy preocupada de todo y atenta a los requerimientos de los huéspedes. El hotel tiene una arquitectura y decoración que invitan a quedarse ahí, todo con vista al Volcán. La comida no fue lo mejor!

Súper hotel, lindas instalaciones y excelente paisaje !!! Nos vamos felices de haber disfrutado esta “escapada romántica” para celebrar nuestro aniversario 49 de matrimonio, si con unos kilos de más por los exquisitos menús ofrecidos cada día, celebrando el trabajo de los chef. Queremos destacar también la preocupación constante y buena atención de todo el personal, desde su gerente Carolina, la manager Estefanía, todo el personal de recepción,el equipo de excursiones, destacando la excelente entrega de quienes nos atendieron: Alan, Aileen y Daniela, los exquisitos masajes de Ivania y Josefa, la simpatía y buena atención en las comidas de Antonieta, Jennifer y Johana. De seguro se nos quedaron nombres en el tintero pero de verdad que todas las personas con las que tuvimos contacto siempre fueron muy gentiles y bien dispuestas. De todos modos volveremos y los recomendaremos !!!

Increíble hotel. Una vista al lago y al volcán Osorno privilegiada. Dormimos con las ventanas abiertas para escuchar el oleaje y ver al sol salir tras el volcán y fue increíble. La comida del restaurant deliciosa y sobre todo, una atención de primera. Gracias a Basilio, Sebastián, Nicolás, Diego, los chicos de mantenimiento que fueron a prender nuestra chimenea cada vez que lo pedimos y la chica que nos recibió en recepción y nos permitió un early check-in. Ni hablar de las amables maid de habitaciones. Todo el equipo con el que tuvimos algún acercamiento fueron entrañables. Gracias por recibirnos con tanto cariño. Estuvimos dos noches y quedamos con ganas de más. Con ganas de seguir viéndolos a todos. Volveremos sin duda.

The hotel has great amenities, it has a proviledged location, with all rooms facing the Osorno Volcano. Food and overall attention of the staff is exceptional, we took a tour from the hotel and the guide made a big difference in the experience.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting on the lake with modern interesting architecture. The rooms are very comfortable and large. We have a terrific view of the lake and fireplace in the room. The staff has been terrific. The food has been excellent also. We enjoyed a massage and took advantage of the spa. They were helpful in suggesting excursions in the area. The hotel is probably 20 minutes from Puerto Varas which made it a peaceful location. We were also closer to hiking and the waterfalls which was nice. We had a car which made it easy to visit places but I think the hotel will also provide transportation.
