IG Nachosol Atlantic & Yaizasol by Servatur - Adults Only

We had booked a last-minute stay at this hotel on the Yaizasol side for the weekend and were offered a premium room right by the pool. Arriving late Friday night after our trip, we were shocked by a strong smell of dampness and mold as soon as we opened the room door. The smell was unmistakable and very intense. We returned to the front desk, but nothing could be done as the hotel was fully booked. Finally, we were given a different room for one night, but for the second night, we would have had to return to the same moldy room. One night in this place was more than enough. The new room also had issues, such as damp cabinets in the bathroom, poor air circulation, and a heavy use of air freshener, likely to mask odors. To top it off, we found a lizard in the room, along with numerous stains and mold spots around the space. Never again here – I don’t understand how people rate this five stars. If you’re allergic or have a working sense of smell, steer well clear of this place!

My husband and myself went to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary , we did had an amazing 2 weeks in puerto rico gran canaria. We arrived at 1:30pm, we were made really welcome at reception, we couldn't get into our room till 3pm which was fine, we left our luggage in a safe room, whilst we had some food and drink in the small restaurant, which was lovely. We stayed in the Yaizasol so didn't see much of the staff, only the domestic girls who were very polite, and did their jobs well, we always made sure we didn't leave a mess for them to clean up after us, for example washing and putting our pots away and pulling the bed covers over the beds, and making sure the toilet and shower area was clean, the shower was really powerful so don't put it on full it pours out to the outside if the shower as there isn't a thick shower mat, The apartment is nice and in peaceful spot, we were a bit disappointed how small the apartment was tho , but very clean, and cleaned well every day, except weekends, the microwave didn't look safe to use, looked like grey smoke marks inside , we should have mentioned it, but didn't coz we didn't want to use it, the beds weren't comfortable , no curtains but a blind in the lounge which was cream , which let the light in from outside all night, which kept us awake, most of the night, as there's no bedroom door to shut out the light , i like a dark room, the front door was like Opaque glass, which let the light from the facing apartment through, and probably vice versa, we had to pin two towels (see pics) on the door to darken out a bit of light. You don't get the sun till about 12 noon , we used the roof top which had a hot tub , the views from there were stunning, you can see the beach and the harbour, the apartment is a bit hilly, we used to walk down to the shopping centre, where there are loads of shops, restaurants and nightlife and sports bars, which were all good, we got a taxi back most nights, which was 5 euros, we would go back to Puerto Rico, which is beautiful, we took a boat trip out to Morgan, which was amazing, but a bit pricey on the drinks in the bars there. TIP... Take comfy shoes, lots of walking to get to see places, try the Golden Beach bar on the beach. for a great breakfast and food and drinks, the shamrock bar was good for live music
