Great hotel, staff all friendly and polite. Maid service excellent. Everywhere is so clean. Yes you hear music from the commercial centre but that doesn't cause us any trouble. Great view from our balcony room 608. 2nd visit this year and would highly recommend. 😎

Beautiful apartment which was clean spacious and well cared for. Staff very pleasant and helpful. That's about as positive as l can get. Located on the hillside above the commercial centre which was very noisy until around 4am every night. Some really hot nights, but couldn't keep the doors open as there was no Aircon. There was the usual queue in the morning with guests leaving their towels on the sunbeds then trotting off till about 12. It's a shame as these apartments are really lovely, but the noise wasted it. Puerto Rico on the whole wasn't very clean or well maintained unless you were down by the marina. Certainly wouldn't go back

Lovely clean apartments. Pool area immaculate. Nice quiet pool ideal for a relaxing day. However if you prefer a bit music/ pool games etc you’re attached to Cala D’or by a pathway so it’s easy enough to share. We didn’t expect it to be so hot on the nights so found no air con a bit of a struggle but you can hire a fan from reception. There’s food at both pools, obviously you pay more than going into town and menu limited but does the job. There’s always plenty of sun beds, but obviously you’ll always get the strange breed who dash down at first thing to reserve beds with towels then do off…absolute no need and shouldn’t be allowed but some folk are just odd….Sun doesn’t actually hit the pool till about 11-11.30. If you want early morning sun you need to book the other side of the hill. Chester’s beach club on sea front is worth a day out, pay €50 per couple but get € 30 back to spend on food or drinks. You get a towel too. Worth a try. We’ll be back soon no doubt once our winter becomes unbearable.

We read a lot of reviews before booking, mostly 4/5 star and some 1 star (don’t understand the 1 star reviews). Lovely apartments, very clean, all staff very friendly and great views of the centre of town. There is no air con, but you know that before you book, yes there is noise from the town centre until at the latest 0400, however close your door and the noise is greatly reduced. We brought small fans out with us because of no air con and they worked fine at night. We were on the 5th floor which was great as in the evening there was a wee breeze. Some of the reviews stated there was little it no maid service, during our 2 week visit (still here) the maids have been in almost everyday and beds changed at least 3 times. There are 191 steps down to the centre which takes 5 minutes, yes coming back up is a chore but if you take your time its actually ok, an alternative is to walk up the road, takes around 15 minutes, but whats the rush your on your holidays right? The only downside for us was the WIFI, not great in the rooms and wouldn’t say super fast broadband, that said it fine at the pool. Have just read a review stating no music at the pool and no floats however the Cala D’Or pool does have music, floats and entertainment during the day and night you are able to access. For us great stay and would definitely be back.

We have just returned from our stay in this hotel halfway up a hill facing the commercial centre and found it to be the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The staff are always polite and helpful especially Jaime the bar ma. We will definitely return.

Just back from a two week stay at these apartments, lovely pool area which is so clean and easy to get sunbeds, lovely pool bar and snack bar really friendly staff, rooms big plenty of room in them... the only reason i have give these apartments a 3 out of 5 is the noise at night is unbearable from the commercial centre right through until 4am and the apartments have no air conditioning so you have to leave the doors open in the evening, the main other negative is the cleaning of the rooms our beds weren't changed the 2 weeks we were there and we had to ask for the bins to be done and towels too.

Great accommodation centrally Staff lovely everywhere Pool area immaculate always sun beds Very clean comfortable Could hire fans or air con at a small extra cost We had a twin room and my lad stayed on sofa bed in living room Lovely balcony Town was noisy but once we had the fans couldn’t hear it anyway No issues with any bugs Lovely cat to feed if you like them People who’s stayed there pleasant and friendly spoke to loads of people Centre just down the steps and got very fit!

This complex has been recently refurbished and is now a bolt on to the next door acc of Cala Dor, we stayed in room 602 in the Altair for 9 nights. This was sold to us on Jet 2 as a 4 person appart (2 adults 2 kids) , there was only a double bed and a couch bed for 1 in the living space so only fit for 3 i dont know or understand why i was able to book it on the jet 2 website when looking for 4 person accomodation ( in fairness it did say that when booking but i didnt notice it) i have been in touch with jet 2 regarding this. Big issue for me was the beds and towels were not changed the entire stay we were there, the cleaners only came in to sweep the floor and empty the bins from what i could see. The noise from the shopping centre at night borders on unbearable, there is no aircon in this place so the need to open the door is a must, do that though and the noise echoing round the whole of the area due to the loud bars pumping the music till 4 am every night keeps most people awake. Stairs to centre are a extensive if you have any issues with mobility this place is not suitable unless you want to taxi up and down each night. Guys in the pool bar were really great and the pool area is spotless and modern.

Stay: 8th july for 1 week Negs: no air-con hence the 4 star or would've been maximum, you have to leave doors open but if you're a light sleeper the noise from the commercial center is very loud & goes on till early hours, so take ear plugs. Around 190 steps up from CC which we were aware of, walk down taxi back. Pros: Spotless well appointed apartments, Huge balcony's. Family of 7 in 3 aptms on 6th floor. Did have a wobble with my slight vertigo but loved views, lift up. Pool area spacious also has a whirlpool, never a problem getting a sunbed. Shop onsite, usual bit pricier, other small shops in vicinity. Check in at Cala D'or & you can use all their facilities too. No need to go there if not using & going out as there's a gate out of Altair ( just use room key or get code) onto the road. Luggage storage & shower room ( book in advance) for use on last day. We'd definitely return to these apartments & if it wasn't for the air con these aptms would be rated a higher class than a 3* absolutely spotless.
