Vik Hotel San Antonio

Have stayed here many many times as its a fantastic hotel, great location delicious food brilliant entertainment especially on the Sunday evenings. Staff are friendly and helpful looking forward to my next stay next month.

We keep coming back, as do others! Our fourth visit as it ticks our boxes for location, comfort and facilities. We thought the food was good but not as excellent as previously - a view shared by others we spoke to - and it was noted that the evening entertainment didn’t seem to attract as many dancers either. However, all in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will return. P.S. The gym is missing a 7.5 kg weight - I did report to reception but they told me to see the Director.

The nicest hotel and the food was fabulous. Staff very accommodating. Rooms are beautiful. 2 pools and quiet area and beach access from hotel. Lovely pool bar. One pool was heated The buffet had so many choices and was beautiful Great entertainment at night Will be back

Beautiful, very well kept Hotel. Classic but modern decor which makes it feel special rather than a corporate feel. Food. Usually we eat out several times a week when we’re away. Food was all of a very good quality and a varied selection available. Speciality cooking each night was very tasty. We had Chinese, Mexican and Indian selections. There was different roast meat each night as well as a good selection of other mains. The selection was very varied and plentiful with fish, shellfish and vegetable / vegetarian options. Yes, the hotel has a large number of elderly guests and they are very well catered for, which was lovely to see. However, a 5 min stroll takes you down the road to the busy areas. We were thankful of the quiet area the hotel is in as you hadn’t got the racket from the pubs and clubs. Great location with direct access on to the beach. Staff were outstanding and very pleasant. Pick ups and drop-offs for most ‘trips’ was at the bus stop directly opposite the hotel. All in, as we said in the headline, a well rated 4 star hotel

Noticed this hotel when we were heading to the airport a couple of years ago and from the outside it looked very appealing. We arrived about half 9 and were told the dinner service had finished but they had made us a “cold buffet”. We were greeted by a plate of things that weren’t the best and only edible thing was the cheese and crackers. The buffet in the morning was ok, usual cereals, toast and fruit. The lunch and dinner was a bit rubbish to say the least, no variety from night to night and the options weren’t of the highest standard to be fair. All inclusive and we ate in the hotel twice for dinner. The pool bar was what saved the lunch to be honest, as I said no real variety and nothing that blew your socks off at lunch but the pool bar provided tastier option than the buffet. The hotel felt like a retirement camp although this could be put down to the time of year we went but it felt like everybody over the age of 65 that was holidaying in Lanzarote was staying at the VIK San Antonio. One of the positives for the hotel was the maids done a great job keeping the rooms tidy and even the day we didn’t need the room tidied they still provided clean towels for us which was great. Them and the pool bar staff were about the only people worth leaving a tip for. One of the things that did let it down was the late check out situation. We asked as soon as we arrived about late check out and were told to ask the day before we left( which baffles me as surely you can see on the screen if there is going to be any space or not but heyho) when we asked the day before we were due to leave we were told no straight away but when my wife mentioned she was pregnant they said oh let me check, there was none but why say no then check ? Surely you would check first before saying no? The hotel was a short walk from some fantastic restaurants which did somewhat salvage the hotel as I mentioned above the food at the hotel was very bland and not much variety. All in all Lanzarote was good as always but feel like the hotel let it down big time and could be so much more than a retirement camp.
