Hampton Inn Princeton

I travel as a consultant across the United States, and was here doing some consulting in Princeton at Toyota. I usually try to stay as close as possible to my job and is why I picked Princeton often for my stays. I recently stayed at the local Holiday Inn, Princeton, and was extremely disappointed in the quality, Service and breakfast at the hotel, as well as the cleanliness of my room. This is the only other hotel chain in Princeton, and my last day about a year ago, was average at best, and as why I have avoided it since. I came back because I tried a couple of other hotels between Evansville and Princeton, and even this hotel at average is better than those other ones close by. There were some maintenance issues with my room that should be addressed and I wasn't 100% sure that my bed linens had been changed before I got there. I was gone too early in the morning to try the breakfast but it appeared to look pretty decent as I was grabbing a drink to go. The overall cleanliness of the hotel seem to be average to above average and my opinion is leaps and bounds better than the Holiday Inn. I just last stayed at in Princeton. Based upon my experience this time I would stay here again, but I hope that people who review the hotel experience the same thing I did with some of the maintenance issues and surety that the linens are changed or make it look at least like it did. As I said there really isn't that much choice. There is a Walmart close by and several decent restaurants in the area. It's about five minutes from Toyota which is nice.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel over the past 20 years frequently due to family in the area. It has always been your standard Hampton Inn and very competitively priced. I am a Hilton Diamond member and Hampton’s have been my go to hotel for business and pleasure travel for many years so I know what to expect. This visit started routinely until we entered the room. We were hit in the face with stale cigarette smell. No rooms available to move us so they at least gave us a can of aerosol spray to try and knock it down. Not much help. Went to get ice. No lid for the ice bucket and only one ice machine was working and of course it was on the bottom floor. Second day we made the mistake of leaving a cup of apple juice on the counter. Returned later in the day to find it swarming with ants. Front desk wanted to give me a can of spray bug killer clearly marked for spiders and scorpions of all things. Said that’s what their maintenance man used. Maybe that’s why they had ants. Mind you we were on the third floor. The ants had to be already in the walls and ready to enter. Luckily the Rural King store across the street had ant killer. With the elevated rates this hotel is now charging it’s time for my family to start shopping hotels in Evansville.

The Inn was extremely clean. The desk clerk was so nice to change our room to the first floor since I have a problem with elevators. The hotel staff even brought my sister and I half and half creamer for our coffee since we didn't have it for our morning brew. There was available ice lemon water as you walk through the door. Free bottled water at des k. Their free breakfast one couldn't ask for anything better except I guess maybe bacon or sausage. Other than that there was just about everything one could want, even to make your own waffle, oatmeal already made in a crock pot and hot. This isn't my first visit at this hotel and it's always pleasant. Will certainly be back and recommend it to my family members and friends. .

We were visiting family for TG at Oakland City (short drive from Princeton) so stayed two nights here. We were immediately charged a $50 incidental fee upon checking in and although given an "all clear" on checking out, the reimbursement hasn't hit our bank yet. Easy access from the highway with Walmart and Menard's close by. There were kids enjoying the heated inside pool. Everything in our large room worked well, was clean and well stocked with towels. Free water bottles on check in and decent and clean hot breakfast. Bed/pillow was comfortable, and our room was quiet. Our hotel breakfast hostess on TG day was exceptionally nice! The front desk women were a bit stand offish and didn't exactly radiate welcomeness, but they weren't rude. Over all we would definitely stay there again.

Employees were super friendly , clean rooms and decent breakfast ! Right off the highway so easy to get to without a lot of highway noise . We will be back for sure ! Price was very competitive as well :)

Rooms are comfortable and seem to be updated. Stayed 3 nights here and it was a good overall experience. Typical Hampton Inn breakfast, but am am able to put something together that is healthy. Rooms are clean. The staff here is really friendly...even the people with the piercings (a previous reviewer was pretty judgy).

I have stayed in nicer facilities for less than I payed here. The high cost I believe is due to construction workers staying at the hotel. I have stayed here in the past, and it wasn't this expensive. The toilet bowl was not clean. I was overcharged one night's stay, which had to be corrected, and one week later has not been added back to my account.

Hilton standarts met. Check was easy. Despite we pay online in advance, they ask credit card and chaege also a deposit of $25. Pool is very small. Breakfast is okay. Stsff is friendly. Rooms are large and comfortable. Free parking is available. Close to princeton and nice towns.
