I only found out about Pierneef's Kraal recently from a friend. Beautiful outside dining areas in a lush garden. Very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly attentive service. Slightly unusual menu but quite tasty. Will definitely return to this restaurant soon.

De Kraal restaurant offers country-style alfresco breakfast and lunch. We ordered omelettes for breakfast, which were rubbery and bland, not appetising and not well presented. The coffees were good. This rustic looking place with shady lawns holds a relaxed atmosphere and we may go back to try other items on the menu.

The property is very quaint with thatched roof houses and nice, clean facilities. There are many "little things" that could be improved and I'm planning to give Annette a list of those. But, overall, it was a great place to stay.

What a delightful afternoon in a soothing , elegant garden setting under majestic trees - and in the middle of the eastern Pretoria suburbs of Lynwood. From the warm welcome on arrival (gracious Tarryn) to the friendly and professional service (excellent Audrey), one feels comfortable and welcome. The menu is not vast but my puff pastry veg option was excellent and the pavlova was a generous portion. I shall definitely be back!

We are so happy to have finally found the perfect accommodation in Pretoria. Pierneef's Kraal has it all. The location is great, the garden beautiful, the room comfortable and so very stylish, the service could not be better and breakfast outside , in the garden, a wonderful start to the day. Knowing that Pierneef, one of the best landscape artists of South Africa (1886 -1957) lived here makes it also that extra special. We will definitely be back as it has become our 'home' in Pretoria and we definitely recommend it to all who are looking for beautiful accommodation in tranquil surroundings.
