The hotel is located on the main street of the city of Potsdam, and it is convenient to eat and shop nearby. Because it is not directly facing the street, it is very quiet at night. The shortage is that the hotel price is expensive, the room area is average, and the Wifi signal is not good.

Worst hotel I stayed in Germany during my trip. For a EUR 90 per night you get a small, basic room, dirty old black carpets, smell of sewage in the bathroom and from the air conditioning unit so you have to keep the window open all day and night. There is no safe or any other amenities in the room like tea/coffee maker, water or fridge. But for your EUR 90 you will get eco crazy Management ideas like recycled brown toilet paper, paper cups instead of glass, experimental ROOM CLEANING EVERY OTHER DAY and appalling quality of breakfast consisting of 1 choice of ham and cheese, cereal and a few apples and pears. No scramble eggs or bacon or sausages, and the few boiled eggs that they provide disappear very quickly and are not replaced for 1/2 hr. The breakfast room is so small, people are crowded sitting next to each other feeling uncomfortable during COVID. There is only 1 small elevator and you have to wait for ages for it to come. If you need to stay close to the train station in Potsdam, then the hotel is ok for 1 night, as the beds are relatively comfortable but otherwise I recommend you look elsewhere! I stayed in a sister B&B hotel in Poznan, Poland and it was a completely different experience - a beautiful, new, modern hotel with a fantastic breakfast choice for half the price, so I know that it's the management fault that the Potsdam hotel is run so badly.

The staff at the restaurant/at breakfast was unfortunately more concerned that the guest - goes back in time (at the entry I was told I would come 10 minutes before breakfast end. I shouldn't just say later that I wouldn't have known) - or not disturbed (my husband wanted lunch and there was no staff who took him. Therefore he placed himself on a unreserved table. The staff came and thought he was making everything wrong and couldn't sit there. Why and how he does it right, it was not just answered nicely. He may stay alone). A third not so nice experience: At request of the business center deposited on Trip.com to work on the laptop, my husband should pay 100 euros for 1 day - it was probably confused with a meeting room. The front desk was told at the reception that he could also sit in a empty restaurant. When he wanted to do this in the morning, the restaurant staff ignored it. Unfortunately, not such a nice stay for us.

It was the worst hotel on our Christmas trip, with the most expensive price. We requested a room with a view in a quiet part of the hotel, having written a letter to the hotel in advance with our wishes. But our wishes were not taken into account, rather the opposite - the room was provided in the building across the road from the main one overlooking the road and was very cold and uncomfortable. Weathered furniture, dirty refrigerator. Breakfast was also the worst of the seven hotels we stayed at during our trip. The only one good thing - we only booked one night. Unfortunately, I no longer want to come back here and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ich habe mir jetzt sehr viele Kommentare durchgelesen und kann nicht verstehen, wie man dieses Hotel auch nur ansatzweise mit weniger als 4 Sternen bewerten kann ! Das Hotel ist klasse ! Sowohl die einzelnen Apartments in den außenstehenden Häusern ( welches wir gegen ein Zimmer im Haus problemlos tauschen konnten) als auch die gesamte Anlage, das Hotel, einfach alles! Hier hat sie der Inhaber so große Mühe gegeben und ein wirklich tolles Konzept bzw. eine tolle Anlage, auf die Beine gestellt ! Das Personal im gesamten Haus ist unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend ! Das Frühstück hat alles was man braucht und ist durchgängig frisch und vielfältig ! Egal ob Wellnesbereich , Außenanlage oder Zimmer, alles ist sauber und modern , man fühlt sich sehr wohl ! Wir reisen sehr viel durch die Welt und dieses Hotel hat ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Ps. Bei der Grösse der Anlage, kann es schon mal vorkommen, dass man kurz warten muss oder der Frühstücksraum etwas voller ist, so etwas als „schlecht“ zu bewerten, ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar! We had a large room with large bathroom, fully fit for wheelchair drivers.We don't brew, but well know. Parking in front of the door and in the deep garage is positively noted, other hotels take extra money for a parking. From the price there is absolutely nothing to make, you get a proper countervail. The restaurant is relatively overviewable, the food card is also, but that is completely enough- Interesting the great choice of drinks, the cocktails and long drinks are very priced! There are no culinary elevations, but you don't expect that for the price. At breakfast buffet at 9.00, the fruit was all, you could have surely filled up. But besides us there was only 1 guest. It will certainly be better if the tourism comes back full of drive. Conclude: Thanks for returning.

Great hotel location, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds and very clean rooms. We were passing Berlin and were looking for one night stay. Hotel is very well accecible from highways. Kids loved spacious rooms and big comfortable beds. Special thanks to a very friendly receptionist for a pleasant conversation after long trip :)

By the time this incident happened, I have already completed a 4 days stay in the hotel and was willing to increase my stay. For that purpose, I went to Mrs. Hausweld and asked to please consult the availability and the price of the rooms for extra nights. In response, I was told that the final price, including the city tax for 3 additional nights would be 350 euros with breakfast included. Consequently, I was willing to go along with that reservation and requested to pay by card. Afterward, then Mrs. Hausweld offered me the POS terminal to go along with the payment, and the amount ascended to 419 euros. Due to that unexpected difference, I kindly asked for an explanation and was told that 419 euros were the final price, and if I was not happy with it I would need to leave the hotel immediately. As a result, I kindly refused to pay that amount and asked her to please consult the price for two nights instead of three. In response to that, the front desk manager told me that no more rooms were available for me and that I needed to check out now and leave the hotel. Following that conversation, I went on Booking.com and reserved a room for the same days, without breakfast, and surprisingly rooms were still available. Next, I went to the front desk and asked to please pay for my booking Mrs. Hausweld looked at me in an unfriendly manner and told me she could not find any reservation. After 5 minutes of searching, she could finally open my booking. Then, although I already provided a credit card in my booking, she asked me to show it to her because she was not believing that it was not mine. I answered that the card was in effect mine and offered her to have a look, but it did not have any numbers on it. So she got ahead to request me to write down my credit card details, including the CVV code, on a piece of paper as ”a security”. Afterward, I was asked again by her if I would like breakfast or not, despite I selected the no breakfast option on booking.com. A moment later I was offered the POS terminal to pay by card, which stated an amount 30 euros higher that the price I booked the room for on this site. Due to the reoccurrence of the same, previous situation again, I refused to pay and respectfully asked her why the price was higher again. Mrs. Hauweld answered in a very disrespectful manner that I asked her to have breakfast included and that I was confusing her again. After that situation, I kindly asked them to speak with her supervisor. She answered, that she had no supervisor and was the only person working in the hotel for the whole weekend. That experience left me in complete disbelief of her professionality and her being in that important role in the hotel. However, despite that bad experience with that particular staff member, I would like to note that the other front desk managers were very friendly and helpful at all times.

Not a great start to my visit when I found my room was still in a state of chaos from previous occupants. I was given another room and settled in. The pillows were awful, with big lumps, and hollows; however the shower was great. The bed was very firm, which is not what I like but may suit others. Sadly despite double glazing the room was very noisy as it was first floor at the front directly up from a busy the road. The room, bed and towels were clean and the hairdryer worked. Probably wouldn’t stay again due to noise, hard bed and rubbish pillows… they made for four uncomfortable and broken nights.
