TRAVELLERS BEWARE My family and I rented the social suite at Rejens hotel for 4 evenings in Dominica Upon arrival, we noted that we were the ONLY guests at the resort. There were 2 showers in the room, both of which did not have functioning faucets or hot water. The night manager, when asked 2 nights in a row to troubleshoot the hot water could not be bothered, except to tell us "just let it run" The first evening, the large flat-screen TV in the room had to be replaced as it was not working. Instead of providing a like in kindreplacement, a TV that was 1/3 of the size was placed there. On several occasions, I waited at the restaurant on the main floor for a half an hour before any of the staff even noticed that there were guests to serve. On our last evening, we told the staff that we wanted to settle to room bill as we were vacating the hotel at 6am the next morning. At the hotels request, they asked that we settle the bill in the morning before we leave. At this time, we also requested luggage assistance for the morning departure and were told it was no issue. 5:45am on the morning of our departure, I was running around all the floors of the hotel, yelling "hello" as there was no hotel staff to be found anywhere. All lights were off at the front desk and there are no phones in the rooms to contact anyone. As we had impending flights, we had to leave the hotel for the airport. We left our contact number on the desk of the hotel so that we could finalize payment. As we boarding our flight, minutes from departure (thank goodness), airport security pulled my family aside and stated that the hotel has called them and filed a police report and we will not be allowed to board the plane until it's resolved. Remember - this whole incident has been at the hotels request, who then could not be bothered to be awake at the stated time of our departure. Instead of contacting us as individuals, they contacted law enforcement. Instead of providing a proper and accurate invoice as requested the evening prior, we were "texted" photos of our bills, which were inaccurate. The bills had items we did not order, which considering we are the only guests, does not speak highly of the hotels organizational skills. On top of being forced to provide payment information over the phone, the hotel still did not even charge the card for the amount of the bills which was sent to us. Disorganized, not functional and poor work ethics. Thank you Rejens hotel for ruining my vacation - it is no wonder your resort is for sale and empty
