This hotel is the closest one to OHSU. We have a toddler that sees many different specialist there. Since we live 2 hours away, early appointments are tough. We always stay at this hotel to make the mornings easier. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and we like the room with 2 smaller beds. One is up against a wall which works well for the little guy. We bring 2 bed rails and feel he will be safe and not fall out. They have a simple but nice continental breakfast in morning so we can eat in the room. This hotel even has a restaurant attached,Suki's, that is open until midnight. They have good food and they come in handy when we haven't had a chance to eat dinner before getting there. We always stay at this hotel and plan to keep staying there anytime we have to drive to OHSU. We highly recommend any parent who has to go there, stay here as well. It's worth it.

The breakfast is very good, and the list is ready to be eaten every day. The room is large, the kitchen utensils are complete, it is convenient to buy some green vegetables to get back (not too much fumes, the ventilation is not good, the fire alarm is big). Convenient to travel, there is a light rail station at the entrance of the hotel, just a car can sit down town for more than 3 stops. But from downtown back to the hotel it is recommended to take 35 buses because the direction of the light rail is easily confused. To the airport, you can take a minibus, $14, and make an appointment with the front desk. The 50-meter line is the Willamette River, and the riverside running is also good. The front desk was super nice, very welcoming and helpful. Hot drinks such as hot tea and hot chocolate are available free of charge in the lobby throughout the day. A 15-minute walk in the university area has a deer Ding Ji Chinese food, which tastes good. Approximately 25 minutes along the river, there is a LeCHON Western restaurant, which is also very good, but pay attention to business hours.

We stayed here for three nights. The design of the hotel is simple and simple like a studio. The room is more spacious and the bed is comfortable. The surrounding environment is also good to the city center. There was some problem with the lighting of the room, and the cabinet placed in the coffee machine was almost invisible. Although there are windows that can't be opened, it wastes natural air and does not meet the environmental protection concept emphasized by the hotel itself. Because it is probably a new hotel, the air circulation is not good, some taste (still acceptable)
Nestled in a peaceful, riverfront area adjacent to a lovely park, you’d never guess the four-diamond Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel is just a short stroll from the dynamic culture of downtown Portland. The Arts and Crafts inspired lobby features a stacked stone fireplace that you just have to drink hot cocoa beside. The hotel offers free use of bikes and in room yoga kits as well as seasonal outdoor sessions led by our very own on-site yogi. We’re also close to a variety of fun outdoor activities and concierges will happily point you toward nearby hiking, kayaking and fishing. Sweet.

After 5 years in Portland, I returned to the old land and chose this hotel. The interior decoration is very Portland-style, and shopping is not far from the city center, which is very convenient

The area is so convenient for everything. Washroom is kinda small and the tub is slippery which is dangerous if you take a shower.
Daily Mandatory Charge includes: Portland Tourism Improvement District (TID) Fee.
Welcome to The Porter Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton, perfectly located in one of America’s most walkable cities. Rising 16 stories above the thriving Fountain District, our Portland hotel is steps from premier shops, popular restaurants and Keller Auditorium and just 2 blocks from Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Upgrade for floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Willamette River and Cascade Mountains, or book a suite with a separate living area, dining table and wet bar for entertaining.
Hotel restaurants blend indulgence with Portland’s love for the outdoors. Foodies will crave our Terrane Italian Kitchen + Bar for soulful Italian-inspired American food served all day. Outstanding
GGuest UserI spend 100 nights per year in just Hilton brands alone. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company I've been required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. This is my 4th time being a guest at this property and honestly there are no major issues. In general property, guest rooms, staff and location are all great! This is more a full-service hotel and a considerable step above your typical Hampton Inn format/experience. A few minor irritates: No shampoo in my room or at front desk. Was told they ran out? No loaner guest umbrellas. Was told they ran out? Limited breakfast hours and no to-go bagged breakfasts on the weekends? Regards to homeless/transient problem that plagues Portland. It's considerably better/cleaner around the hotel and Pearl district than just a year ago. I have no issues walking around by myself or concern about parking my car on the surrounding streets (except some park blocks are still dicey).
GGuest UserThe place was great but when I got there, the guy working started saying stuff like “ it’s quiet around here”, “Your not trying to party are you?” Then starts saying people have been coming there lately trying to do so, I assumed he stayed these things because I am
A AA woman. I reminded him of my age (while he’s holding my I.D btw) he then goes to tell me I have to pay a $200 deposit. Which I was told before booking the room was $50. So this brings me back to my race, this is being told to me AFTER i just spent nearly $200 just to get the room. So I am behind upset.
MMrLeo999In the city center, dining and shopping are very convenient! The room size is moderate and the breakfast is not bad! The bathroom is quite big! This is very good! It is convenient to go out for a taxi! !
GGuest UserWe fly in from Hawaii, our flight delayed 3 hours, so we arrived at the hotel at 4am, the girl at the counter was walking towards outside and saw us entering the hotel with luggages without saying a word, we thought she was stepped out just a bit, and waited in the lobby, but she disappeared! There was another man in the lobby he tried to help us find her however no luck.
We were so very tired and waited in the lobby for half an hour, she finally came in and gave us the key of the room, it only took like 2 minutes.
If it were that simple, why not just handed the key to us upon our arrival, we tried to make phone calls, but the phone rang right in front of us in the counter with nobody inside, it's very very very frustrated.
The hotel facilities were fine, average for the price range. The staff was friendly, helpful. I booked two stays a week apart, minutes from the Portland Airport for a family trip to Hawaii. On the first visit the hotel shuttle was great, came within a few minutes. Took three trips on it during that stay—my arrival and back to the airport to collect arriving family members, all was well. On the return trip I needed to take the shuttle back to the airport to catch an intercity shuttle back to my home city Eugene. The desk said “It’s already on its way” I waited half an hour, no shuttle. Quite a few people were waiting for it by now. Releasing I would miss the other shuttle’s boarding time, I called for a private Lyft back home. I think I will do this when flying from PDX from now on. It is less expensive overall (hotel stay, intercity shuttle) Also very comfortable and exact timing I needed. Another caution: This was NOT the Aloft hotel’s fault but I accidentally booked the stays on a third party site. It looked like I was on the hotel’s web page except for tiny print in the upper left hand corner. It added a total of $160 to the stays and makes it impossible to cancel the stays even weeks before. I see this happening more and more. Be careful out there.
AAdam ValentinerI would describe this as a hipster hotel with unique character to match the downtown area. My teenage kids did like the room and the adjacent coffee shop. However, I felt the room was a little small, especially the bathroom and the room could use some updating like more amenities like towel racks and storage for suitcases. Our room was not close to being recently remodeled so pictures can be a little deceiving. Bed was comfortable but I could hear people walking around above our room at night. I also struggled with parking found it very stressful trying to find parking, plan to spend around $40 a day on parking a day if you are driving around a lot. The overnight parking which is approx 10-15 minutes away walking distance is not on site and is only $20 a night, but it does not feel safe after 10pm to be walking around due to the homeless problem in the area. I don't think I will be returning to this hotel. I def don't feel like this was a 3 star hotel, I would give it a 2.5 out of 4 or 5 stars. The breakfast was a continental at best. Pastries with juice or coffee and fruit. Sometimes they provided yogurt or boxed oatmeal and oat milk but nothing special and get there before 9 am or there may run out of items. Portland has a lot of fun things to see but because of the homeless problem I would seek out recommendations for the best attractions and stir clear of the problem areas. Washington park and art museum were a lot of fun to visit. Multnomah Falls would be an all day trip and get there very early since parking is terrible or park off site and take tram in. I was also charged an additional fee of $25 a night which was not mentioned anywhere on the trip.com booking receipt.
GGuest UserSo you won't be surprised like us the parking is 10.00. On checkin the guy couldn't have had a good day he was none too pleasant. No explanation of services, couldn't accommodate pur low floor request, no breakfast included, and on and on. Rooms are dated and carpets stained like blood. There are SO many other options please look for those in Portlans.
ZzhinanStayed twice, checked in the other day, and later turned out to be the same room, mainly because of the relative cheapness and free parking.
But it is located in the northern suburbs and there are few places to eat around.
CCHUNLINThe hotel service staff is very warm and patient, the hotel is very close to the airport and very convenient, and breakfast is provided. The free shuttle bus to the airport is very intimate. Will recommend to friends and family.
QQIOlder-style hotel, the road traffic conditions are good, and the waiters are also enthusiastic. The main reason is that Ctrip's employees did a good job. Because I communicated with them in the early stage and reflected my emergency situation, they all contacted the hotel and resolved it immediately, so I sincerely appreciate Ctrip's efficiency and attitude! It is because of them that I am willing to place an order on Ctrip.
