When we first read reviews for this hotel a few months ago, they were stellar. When I revisited the reviews, not so much, and I agree. The staff is very friendly and very helpful, that part hasn't changed. What seems to have changed, is the housekeeping. We were told, when we arrived, that there is no housekeeping (we were scheduled to stay for 8 days) but if we needed anything like fresh towels, just to ask. Well, we had to ask for quite a few things. The bathroom sink didn't drain (and others we knew in the hotel at the time had a similar problem). It was promptly fixed. One morning, no hot water at all. Then we complained about the bugs that were on the carpet and in the bathroom. The issue is that most rooms are on the ground floor going straight out to a lawn so these little buggers get in through the sliding doors. There were quite a few in the window well. I would suggest that if the rooms were vacuumed daily, that this wouldn't be a problem. The window wells did get vacuumed but the rest of the floor did not, from what I could see. One did crawl into bed with us which was a little disconcerting, but they were harmless. After the vacuuming, we didn't find anymore. The bathroom fan needed a good dusting / vacuuming as it was full of dust. One morning there was no hot water. One evening, no towels in the pool / hot tub area (when most people would use it). The shower in the pool area also needs some serious scrubbing. Breakfast was average - enjoyed the apples and bananas when they were there, bagels, yogurt, coffee, juice, toast and cereal. I would steer clear of the "eggs" though as I'm not sure what they were made of, and the bacon had a strange taste as well. All in all, if the housekeeping were improved, it would be a fine place to stay. The rooms are nice, the wifi is great, there is an indoor and outdoor pool, and a free breakfast. It is in a good location and the staff is friendly and helpful.
