The hotel is in a good location for the main street in Port Douglas. If you arrive after 5pm you have to call to get instructions to access your room and the car park. You will also have to carry your suitcases up 3-4 flights of steps from car park to your room, there are no lifts. The room is spacious and clean. It says self catering but all it has is a toaster different from a normal hotel. No kitchen sink or worktops. There is tea and coffee provided and milk. Hotel is pretty basic but ok for a base to explore Daintree, Low Isles and 4 mile beach.

Fantastic location for this time of year. Right on the corner of the main street, it was quiet and so easy to get everywhere by foot. Lovely comfortable room & separate bedroom (really comfortable King size bed). The bathroom was lovely but unfortunately the shower was in the spa bath which was quite high to get into.

If you’re thinking about staying at Regal Port Douglas, think again. We checked out after staying only one night, having booked a 7 night stay. To preface, the photography is very deceptive on the website, giving the pool a bigger appearance than in reality. Even my son was disappointed. The Studio room is tiny, and you can barely swing a cat in it. The Spa Bath/Shower was abysmal, no shower could be taken without an IMMENSE amount of water spilling everywhere. The overall appearance of the complex is very dated, if you prefer to stay at something more updated and modern, Regal Port Douglas is not the place for you.

Excellent staff nice place to stay neat tidy and roomy love the spa and close to shops and restaurants. Will be back soon rooms are clean and quiet area owners are awesome. The scenery is awesome very nice and peaceful and the price is good . Everytime I have off I go back to the same place. People are friendly .

Brilliant place to stay at. In the middle of town so easy walking to beach, restaurants and cafes, marina and harbour. Very clean, amazing staff and management. The pool is heated over winter. Great facilities and they have an on-site car to hire for day trips. Outstanding.

Regal,what a place to stay right in the heart of Macrossan Street close to all the restaurants and hotels. Beautiful heated pool with plenty of sunlounges, king bed and large family room. Thank you Kim and James for being perfect hosts we will be back.

Everything apart from wifi was good but I work from my laptop and the wifi is about the worst I have seen at any place I have stayed. If you don’t need good wifi I recommend but if you do I don’t recommend staying here, I have had to use a cafe down the street everyday.

Currently staying here and in room 14b and last 2 afternoons room 14a has had loud music. Poroperty manager was notified and room was contacted multiple times and I was told nothing could be done untill 2300. On top of noise issue yesterday a man walked into room possibly unsure it was room as he appeared to be under the influence. It has upset my stay here.

This is a perfect place to stay. Great location, near restaurants, marine & shopping. The apartment is lovely, large and comfortable. The bed is not too firm, not too soft and a good selection of pillows. Private balcony, washing machine (so handy), microwave & hot plates. Only down side is the shower in the spa bath - would not like to have agility problems.
