Price was right, but we walked in and my guy went in to use the bathroom while I pulled back comforter and sat on edge of bed. The unpleasant odor of the room was immediately noticeable. He came out saying, 'Ummmm....there's a dirty washcloth on the floor and flies......really big flies....' I picked up my flip-flop and proceeded to kill 7 of the nastiest horse flies I've ever seen--in the bathroom, on the ceiling (I'm 5'7" and could reach them) and on the 1 window. Room was dark, dank, cramped and felt scurvy. We went right back out and I got the same woman who checked us in. She wanted to argue when I told her what I found and made me go into the room with her. I showed her dead flies and washcloth and she denied they were there when we checked in. Told her we JUST walked in & weren't staying and to refund my card. She did keep saying, 'No problem, no problem.' We travel pretty frequently and I realize this is a touristy area (tho off-season), so the price should have tipped me off (and I will call foul on myself for not reading reviews prior to booking). If you're a bunch of kids coming down to party and just need a place to shower and sleep, here it is.
