Not the best, it's ok only if you're on a tight budget or desperate. Room had a mould smell because of the carpet. 1 old lady staff at the restaurant had a nasty attitude but the rest of the staff was friendly.

As the Halyards Hotel and Spa swimming pool is open to the public the kids and I went for a bit of a cool down. We had some lunch while chilling out in the bar area and the kids swam. Abba playing on the stereo, friendly staff, great food and patrons enjoying the pool. A great experience on a hot day! It is no easy feat bringing out excellent food at record time when it is busy. You guys make great service look easy! Thoroughly enjoyed the loaded fries and the kids devoured their meals in record time! A special mention, Mzi, David and Mbulelo (spelling) are such stars. I honestly feel like I'm family when walking into the hotel. Always a smile on their faces and welcoming. It is lovely to see the hotel so busy and the best part? Out of towners having a great time at Halyards. It makes me so happy as a local! Well done guys!

The showers were not working, tv and aircon aswell . The mat was dirty , wifi didn’t reach our room, false advertising cz the furniture is OLD and chipped,the room itself looked shady , no bar fridge , that place needs serious renovations , very unpleasant stay , very dissatisfied. Garden room view didn’t have a garden view we were facing the wall . We did even have appetite and went elsewhere for breakfast because of the state of that room we got . I will never book here again .

Our room television was broken - we reported it but it never got repaired. The wifi didn’t work as there was no internet connection. The room was neat, however the shower tap came of, the shower door frame fell of, the bed base was standing on the floor - the bed had no feet - the tv remote wasn't working and the curtain rail hook was broken / all reported but room in poor state - no fridge in room and no air-con

When we travel it is about the experience and how people make you feel. The entire experience was overpriced and bad. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
