Family-friendly Hotels in Porches

Outstanding from start to finish. This was our 2nd time staying at Vila Vita Parc and we enjoyed every minute. The service is first class+ in all areas of the resort, nothing is ever too much trouble. The facilities are superb and everything is beautifully maintained and presented. With multiple choices of swimming pools, and restaurants, private beach access, and lots of leisure and sporting activities on offer, there's something for everybody. A classy resort. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning experience! We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The hotel facilities are superb, beach and views and breathtaking. If you go on a left from the beach there is a wonderful easy hike with spectacular views, approximately 30 mins one way. Lots of even more stunning nature within 15-20 mins drive from the hotel. We will definitely be back! ＜3

It's awesome! The rooms are large, with sea views, close to the beach, the environment is beautiful and clean, the rooms are fully equipped with microwaves and utensils, and there are many tables and chairs. Breakfast was generous and parking was free around, but parking spaces near were not easy to find. A boat ride to Benagil Beach is also easy.

We have just returned from a one week stay and have really enjoyed our time here. Firstly we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was situated over the road from the main complex where the one bed apartments are located (so can’t comment on these apartments). The apartment was very spacious with an enclosed garden to the front with x2 loungers for our use. The downstairs was an open plan dinner/kitchen/lounge space with a tv (no English tv but usb port if you wanted to bring a firestick or switch etc). Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and oven (although oven was very slow to cook things). The sofa in the downstairs are appeared to be a sofa bed but we didn’t need this. WiFi though out the apartment (limited to 5 devices) was really good. No aircon downstairs but shutters throughout kept the apartment cool. Garden furniture downstairs to the rear however this was open so no privacy, one lunchtime we sat down to eat and our neighbours were also outside smoking - however we just moved inside. 2 bedrooms upstairs both we air con. Plenty of storage space for clothes and cases etc. safe in one room which was included in the cost. Very large bathroom with a great shower. There was a roof terrace however no seating, we did try and move the table upstairs but it wouldn’t fit through the door. The 2 bedroom apartment side of the complex has its own large pool, play area and small pool. There is also a small football pitch which the kids enjoyed using. Plenty of sunloungers. We didn’t venture over to the other side of the complex other than to check in but there was a cafe, restaurant and further pool. We had a car which was very useful as Porches is quite quiet however the beach, shops and local restaurants were all 15/20 mins walk away. The local town of Armancio de perra is about 1.5 miles away and is a traditional Portuguese town. No bright lights and British bars like Albuferia however this is what we like. No noise issues for us however we requested an end apartment- we did hear neighbours at times but nothing too bad but I suppose it depends on your neighbours. Only slight negatives, no BBQ, not enough sockets in the kitchen and as mentioned oven very slow. Overall however an excellent self catering base to explore the algarve.

So as someone who will spend hours reading reviews prior to booking I thought I’d leave an honest review on this lovely place! Hotel: transfer is quite long, however I always love to nosey at the hotels people get dropped off at so it kills time wondering where you’ll end up on the next drop. Layout is confusing, some lifts you have to get out to go into other lifts, sometimes you didn’t. You get used to it though. The beach is a short walk away, there’s a cave you can walk through to another beach and honestly it’s stunning. Check in: very smooth, wasn’t waiting long. Advised to get the map of hotel from QR code which I did, however it was SO confusing. The map made no sense! But if you’re like me, going for a wander round and getting your bearings you soon get used to it. We wasn’t really given much more information from check in but we figured it out, however it would have been nice to know about the towel rental (apparently 10 euro refundable for towel cards). Rooms: read some reviews that said rooms were small… we had a basic room and yes three of us were in one room however it was spacious enough for what we needed, especially as we rarely was in it! The balcony is huge. Outside furniture not comfy but does the trick. Had a bath in the room with shower over which pleased my little one who loves baths. Towels provided, there’s some 2 in 1 soap/shampoo provided. Aircon wasn’t fantastic but as we were 6th floor we had a lovely breeze. We often left a spare card in the slot to keep the air con running whilst out but the cleaners would remove it daily, could be annoying if it was the height of summer when you want to come back to a cold room. A bottle of water is provided, and you are advised to keep that bottle and refill at water stations around the hotel. Enough hangers for 3 of us, lots of storage space, tv with loads of channels if you wanted to watch it. A safe but again we didn’t use or get provided with info on it. Cleanliness: literally the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been too. I’ve need seen walls, floors, windows SHINE the way this hotels does. They worked endlessly. Even the pool was cleaned daily. Sunbeds hosed daily. Honestly it was spotless everywhere. I don’t even reckon I saw one fly. There was an incident in the kids pool and it was quickly coned off, shut down, and had a lifeguard stopping people from going near it. It was sorted really quickly and efficiently! The rooms were cleaned daily, I lost an earring in the night and didn’t realise so I thought it was a definite gonner, the cleaner had found it somehow and left it on the bed side table. It was spotless. Food: Honestly for a European all inclusive, I couldn’t fault it. Obviously if you’ve been to the Caribbean/Turkey luxury all inclusives you’d be setting your standards too high. I’ve done all sorts and honestly I can say there was always something to eat for everyone. Fish, meat, pasta, pizza (unreal), fresh fruit, ice cream, cakes, salads. Everything was labeled

I stayed with my family for 5 days at this Hotel, our experience was excellent, the service was very good, the rooms had plenty of space and the facilities were also new, the kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean. The pool was super cold, we weren't able to enjoy it, even the indoor pool was too cold for our taste. There is a supermarket nearby, the beach nearby was very calm and full of families. The restaurant was also very good and the chef made adaptations for me since I don't eat gluten or lactose. We just missed a play ground for the children. We will be back next year for sure
