I have to share our stay at @hostelpassal, where Paulo & Anabela welcomed us like nephews from the continent. Even before arriving, we were finding everything so easy with the help of Paulo, who in addition to picking us up at the airport, also helped us rent a car, book activities and define a super complete itinerary with a map that he He made it himself (the best map of the island of S. Miguel, without a doubt!) The accommodation was always excellent, with a mega “Good Morning” and an excellent breakfast. We had the opportunity to get to know the other accommodations in the Passal group and I can only say that they are the best on the entire island 😍 The experience at Hostel Passal was so positive that to anyone visiting Ponta Delgada, regardless of nationality, I will always recommend this place for your stay. Believe me: this place made all the difference in our stay. Thank you Paulo and Anabela 😍

I will start with the good. I wanted to give this hotel at least a four star rating as the check-in process was excellent and the desk clerk was very friendly. However, we rented two rooms and one of the rooms had a broken air conditioner. When I requested that someone look at it the next morning, I was initially told it was working fine. I was unable to get the clerk to understand that the fan is not the same as the air conditioner. Later that afternoon when it still was not fixed I was told it was too late to switch rooms as housekeeping had left for the day. The saving grace was the night clerk finding us a fan which at least made the room bearable. I know many hotels do not have air-conditioning, but this was selected specifically because it did. Otherwise, the hotel is acceptable and as I indicated, in an excellent area/location.

They record a video of the room before they stayed (even if it wasn't useful for us) because they accused us of ruining the air conditioning, because we did not do it and asked us to pay €70, because we are not the first to pay for it because there are more people to do so. reclaming the same. When we left the room the air condition was in the same conditions as when we arrived and only after we had already left, they called us because they said the air condition was broken, it was equal, and when we entered, they didn't realize anything, The lady of cleaning certainly went there to move deliberately because you already knew, there are more people complaining that they paid a conditioned one that they didn't ruin, that would probably be the same and they always charge. They are thieves, because they must have done it in advance, the workers there are very antipathic and uncomfortable, it has no means to communicate even with customers. I liked the Azors very much but the hostel really ruined, now we had to pay €70 for something we didn't ruin and it's quite frustrating. I don't recommend!!!!!!

Highly recommend this hostel. It was my first stay in a hostel as there was a big event happening this weekend and hotels were very pricey. Therefore I thought I would give it a try as it looked very decent from the pictures and reviews. I was correct! I stayed 3 nights. Very clean and over the top helpful and friendly staff. Especially TELMA! She was awesome! You can tell all the staff actually cared about their jobs and made it that much more inviting. Comfortable sleep and very close to everything. Even helped me with airport transfers, day tours and general knowledge of the island. Loved my stay! Sincerely, Daniel

We were staying for one week at Set Sedades starting July 11, 2023. Comfortably close to the center of the city and major attractions. Extremely clean facility. Comfortable not big room. Stable wi-fi. Great view from the window on the third floor. Good breakfast. Reasonable price per night in the mid of tourist season. Seta Sedades can easily compete with fancy hotels. Most important, very friendly personnel. We were specially threated arriving after sleepless night at about 6AM. We would like to thank Margarita, who was managing the front desk that morning for arranging a clean room for us much earlier than 3:00PM (standard check in time)
