"does not meet my criteria. The aircondition was extra if your booking it was from platforms."
Polis 1907 by Louis Hotels
"The room rate is on the high side, doubtless influenced by the fact that there’s not much competing accommodation in Polis. There is a restaurant on the ground floor where check-in takes place, with a small and slow lift to the handful of first floor rooms. After hours return to the rooms is via some fairly steep outside stairs to an elevated entry door at the rear of the property. Not sure that the hotel would work well for the mobility impaired. Our room was clean and of a decent size. The small bathroom was behind a pocket door with a somewhat rickety shower door, but serviceable enough. Selecting a rate on the hotel's web site with breakfast included would have added €25 per person to the bill, so I’m unable to say what breakfast my wife and I would have enjoyed for €50. Instead, a very short walk took us to Saddles Cafe and Bar where we had an excellent breakfast at half the price. There is parking on rough ground at the back of the property but the ledge to access it from the road was high, so in our low slung car we chose to use public parking in front of the hotel. At check-in we were asked not to leave the car there overnight, but there was no signage to that effect and we had no problem in doing so."
Anassa
"Second time back, as lovely as the first time. The perfect hotel and super friendly staff. Food is out of this world. Will definitely visit again."
Eliofos Elegant Maisonettes
"It’s rare to find a place that can handle a group of nearly 30 people so smoothly and flexibly. Everything went without a hitch, and the owner was helpful in every situation — even in ways that go beyond what you’d normally expect from a host. The property is clean, well-equipped, and clearly designed with attention to detail. It’s ideal for families or groups of friends who want to relax in a quiet, nature-close environment. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates professionalism paired with personal attention."
Souli Beach Hotel
"Souls Beach Hotel is probably nice during the busy season, but not really when there are only about a dozen guests resident there, when the restaurant and bar is deserted and in darkness by 9pm, and the receptionist seems to spend most of his day playing solitaire on one of the tables in the only “lounge” type area, which is in fact the draughty corridor in front of reception. The “restaurant” staff are lovely, and the restaurant food is ok (except breakfast) but there’s little else to commend it, unless you really do want a very quiet week and to be back in your smallish room by mid evening. We suspect the place is family run, and there’s no money to reinvest (eg creating a nice lounge and bar, or even just replacing chairs and tatty sun beds), redecorate (repainting scuffed walls, removing weeds), or improve the ambience (there’s no nice lighting, plants etc around the place). Some work like that would transform the place. Its location is enviable, being right in the beach and within a few minutes walk of Latchi, which we were very grateful for, as that became our go to for an evening meal. There’s also a bus stop right outside, proving a further means of escape to Polis or Paphos (the latter being an hour or so bus ride away for 2 euros!)."
Akamanthea Holiday Village
"My wife and I stayed at the hotel for three nights on a B&B basis. I thought it was brilliant. The buffet breakfast was excellent, fresh and cooked well. The room was a bit dated but was clean and the shower was good. A special thank you to Despina who was such a lovely and very helpful lady, who was working her little socks off. Perhaps the owners could have done a bit more in the way of staffing to help her. The pool was large and there was always beds available. It would be an advantage if you had a car to explore the local area's, as the hotel is quite away from the main drag where you would catch buses. When we return to the area, we would definitely stay at the Akamanthea again."
