This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've ever had. We booked a room through ******* the night before our stay. When we arrived with our children, we were told our reservation had been rejected because my credit card was supposedly declined. This made no sense to me because the payment information had been submitted through *******. We never received any notice before arriving that there was a problem with our reservation. I immediately offered to provide a different credit card, but I was then told there were no rooms available. A staff member who seemed kind and reasonable then said they actually did have two rooms available. The owner responded by telling us we were "lucky" and that we should book directly next time. Throughout the interaction, he seemed irritated that we had booked through *******. As I tried to understand what had happened and make sure I wouldn't be charged twice, the owner became increasingly agitated. I also tried explaining to my friend that there was confusion regarding the ******* rate. When I mentioned that they might not honor the ******* price, the owner became offended. Rather than calmly discussing the situation, he went to his elderly parents, who also own the motel, and told them he didn't want us to stay. Despite having traveled there with children and trying to resolve the issue respectfully, we were ultimately left without a hotel room for the night. As we were leaving, the owner said, "Ciao." Given the way we had been treated throughout the encounter, and because we are Latino, the comment felt insulting and mocking to us. I can't say what his intent was, but it added to an already upsetting experience. Booking issues can happen, but the way we were treated was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. We left feeling unwelcome and would not stay here again.

Excellent Motel very friendly family oriented and clean best motel in Point Pleasant I would greatly recommend this to any one don’t waste your time or money looking anywhere else very quiet clean and great hospitality safe area close to everything. Best housekeeping staff. Highly recommend to any law enforcement or military personnel very good motel.

Booked this place last minute after my original plans fell through and could not be happier for the price! The room was on the smaller side but for our quick weekend trip it was exactly what we needed. Definitely an older property but a clearly well-loved and maintained one, you can tell from all the cute little details in the outside decor that they take pride in their presentation. (This is completely random but I was in LOVE with the slanted wood roof in the room! It added a nice ‘rustic’ touch to things.) The little balcony was appreciated, it’s not huge by any means but it fits two chairs and a little table and what more do you really need lmao Also this place is literally a straight five or six block walk down to the beach access so saving $15 in parking was fantastic! Pool wasn’t open yet when we stayed (looked like it was actively being cleaned for opening up soon), so can’t comment on that in the review. Looked nice enough though. All in all we had a great time here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we find ourselves back in the area.

Overall, it was a good, solid place to stay for more than a week. Laid back, and staff that didn't bother you. Nice location, right on the water. No coffee machine in the office nor in the room, so visit Dave at Ma's across the street for a good cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast. A little further down is a 7-11. Avoid Boathouse401 at all costs. They call cops at the drop of a hat.

This is an old-fashioned two-level motel, with outside stairs and a narrow catwalk to your second-floor room. It showed signs of wear, of course, but everything was neat and clean. The room was a nice surprise; the rug looked new and the beds were comfortable and attractive. There were no offensive odors and everything was clean. The biggest problem was that there wasn't much "everything". Room was pretty small, with no hair dryer, no coffee, no shelf in the bathroom, no phone to call the front desk, no ice machine; the internet was rated "slow" by my phone system. And we never did figure out how to change the heat (it was stuck on 65 F on a cold, rainy night) and the blanket was summer-weight. It was not miserable, just minimal.

This motel is a basic and simple place. But what it offers, it does well. It has a golden age of motoring charm that has repeatedly drawn me back when I stay in the area.
