Universal Hotel Neptuno - Adults Only
4.2/543 Reviews
Some of the best staff of any hotel I’ve stayed in 35 years (and I worked for an airline). Reception could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. Pilar, the guest services manager, was absolutely charming. Quiet hotel in October. Good sound proofing on balcony doors (needed). Attentive staff at very good breakfast. Great pool area with loads of space overlooking the promenade and sandy beach with shallow clear water. However. Our experience of the immediate area around the hotel would, I believe, be completely different in the summer. It is a magnet for German drinkers with the “biggest beer garden in Europe” opposite the hotel. “Mega Park” Located indoors but as big as an aircraft hangar. I learnt the German expression “Ballerman” while there. Google it before you go to this area. The local government have promised to clamp down on “drinking tourism” so it would be interesting to see what it is like in July. Having said all that my 89 year old dad and I experienced no problems during the day and I saw no real misbehaviour in the evening on my own. The hotel is great but don’t go to this area in the summer if you are not a fan of Germans singing German drinking songs. Perfect for winter sun.
Pure Salt Garonda - Adults Only

We have recently spent 7 night at Pure Salt Garonda and hope this will not be our last visit. We booked a garden view room and were give. Room 521 which was on the top floor and faced the rear of the hotel - we were really pleased as these rooms have very private balconies as all other balconies at front and side are adjacent to each other. The room was very spacious and clean, super comfortable beds and lovely bathroom with complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, robes and slippers. Breakfast was excellent - fresh juices, fruit and large continental section and also egg/omelette/pancake station cooked to order and some other cooked choices. Breakfast is served outside overlooking the beach, which was blissful in the morning. The pool is a good size and has disabled access available. The pool doesn’t open until 10 but towels were down pretty early if you wanted a sunbed that got the sun first. Please note that sun doesn’t hit the pool area until around 11.30 and probably takes to 1pm before all beds are in the sun - we tended to either go to the beach or do stuff in the morning and use the pool in the afternoon, beds weren’t always available and usual problem of towels sitting on beds all day and not getting used - hotel need to address this as guests who want to use the pool were missing out due to these practises. There is sunbeds and a splash pool in the rooftop bar - we used those a few times and preferred it as the sunbeds are actually in the water and have amazing views. We didn’t eat in the hotel at night but lots of nice restaurants nearby and we took the bus from behind the hotel Ito Palma in the evening where there are some lovely restaurants and not as busy as during the day. The only negative we had which was not the hotels fault, was a large group of women celebrating birthdays - they were extremely noisy shouting and swearing around the pool most days. We booked this hotel as it was a spa and adults only hotel which we thought would have a chilled atmosphere, this group spoiled that for most people as they were drinking and shouting at breakfast and all day at the pool but luckily were only there for the weekend. Maybe the hotel should consider restrictions around larger same sex parties… All ages and nationalities were staying at this hotel which we liked, ages ranged from elderly to those in their 20’s looking for a peaceful time. Look forward to our next stay soon.
Hotel Hispania

We booked much in advance so they reserved us a room on the fifth floor with terrace and pool view, bedroom and large modern bathroom, working air conditioning. Sky bar with beautiful views, with a bar where you can get a drink or eat paella. Breakfast is more for Germans, there is everything, even things that I would have liked to eat for dinner instead of breakfast, like anchovies (which have never been at dinner). I tasted two types of fish and they were not cooked to perfection, they were a little rubbery. Unlike the meat, overcooked. At dinner water is not included, as there were two of us, we always took 2 ”bottles” of water, paying €2.20 each... and they were 2 half glasses of water each. Location of the hotel in front of the sea and in the middle of lots of clubs and supermarkets. Friendly staff. The hotel has 2 elevators, one of which broke and was repaired in a few hours. The sauna with hydromassage is not included, it costs 8 euros. The first day we left the towels on the bed for us to change and they just folded them and put them back in their place. The bed was made with the same sheets. After we made them find towels on the floor in the bathroom they put clean ones for us. Large and comfortable shower Soundproofed room The minibar in the room is empty. I would definitely stay here again if I want to return to Palma, but some details need to be improved to ensure that it is a true 4-star hotel. Like food for example, I have eaten everything because I like to taste, and if I don't eat one thing I eat another, but it could be improved.

Great hotel, facilities are very good, not enough to play in the hotel. Ten minutes from the beach, there is a big supermarket at the door. There are some small shortcomings, we sleep upstairs in the restaurant, breakfast in the morning is a bit noisy. In addition, I stayed for two days and gave a bottle of water. I wanted to ask for one more bottle. For breakfast, the Chinese are not used to eating, it is recommended not to use this money. I should stay here next time.
