Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

Just returned from a week at the Vulcano, which over all was enjoyable due to great weather. We have been to this hotel many times, the last time being in 2022. I didn't bother looking at recent reviews before we traveled, as we had always had a great experience in the past. Looking at recent reviews now I can understand why people are not as thrilled as they should be. We booked B&B for the first time by chance really, and lucky we did - some diehard guests who had dinner were so disappointed in the new arrangements. The entertainment used to be packed out - you had to rush from dinner to get a seat , but now it is much quieter. The room was OK, but wow it is noisy until 11pm ish - sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool area you get noise / music from a number of venues, but the most annoying is the jet washer used to clean the pool area after the guests left. It is not a bad hotel, the staff could be more friendly, it is clean and breakfast is OK. For us, it is sadly time to try another option as this does not feel like a special place any more.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this hotel & we have had a wonderful time. We stayed on the 6th floor in an XL terrace room with access to the UP! on the rooftop. The rooftop is very quiet & relaxing with sunbeds available at any time of the day. The food in the UP! was exceptional & staff very friendly. The room was very quiet at night & the standard of cleanliness was very high. We stayed B&B and ate out every night - there is a large choice of restaurants around the hotel. Would recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday

Just returned from 10 night holiday at the Spring Vulcano. We received an excellent welcome from the reception staff accompanied by a nice cold glass of prosecco from Andrea. We have known Andrea for many years and she always makes our holiday as her customer service is excellent and a very nice person. The room cleaner is the same girl for around 10 years now and she keeps our room spotless (apologies forgot her name) excellent service again. The staff in all areas are very helpful and we are looking forward to our next visit.

This is our second visit to this hotel and the first was very near perfect for us in the Up section so relaxing with quality food and drinks. On arrival this time we were very disappointed with the receptionist who was not really interested couldn’t even offer us a drink as there were no glasses. Told us we couldn’t book the UP special meal as it’s full up even when I told her I had phoned and told you can only book on arrival. Well here we were with our cases. Room not bad but a real problem on the balcony with birds pooing also noisy from the plumbing from other rooms. Room 618 The Up was brilliant and loved the whole experience but the only downside was they have introduced a smoking area right next to the comfortable armchairs with a horrible smelly stubber bin. It was disgusting. I particularly queried with the hotel before arrival about their smoking policy and was told “We are a non smoking hotel” and it is also on their website. Also quite a few people lit up on their balconies which leaves me unable to use mine as I have Bronchiectasis and it makes me physically sick to breathe that in, The Up section is advertised as a fit and healthy area which is now not true. I would love to return but not sure now.

Positives 1. Rooms very comfortable 2. Plenty of beds by pool area and great jacuzzi pool We have been to Tenerife several times over the years and it is a favourite destination. We booked Vulcano with high hopes as it was always on our bucket list. The new evening menus is quite simply terrible. I was looking forward to the new concept thinking it would give a restaurant feel. The first night we had to send back as meat chewy and the limited buffet was lukewarm and dried up! We ended up eating out 3 out of 7 nights and wish we had only gone bed and breakfast. The restaurant has no atmosphere and I believe that this is because people are eating out. We also found the staff efficent but no friendliness in comparison to Tigotan which we usually stay in. I don't usually write public reviews but I would advise b&b only. We probably won't return. I've already deleted their app!

I have been to this hotel 5 times in the past and the reason we returned was because of the quality and variety of the food. We booked the half board holiday a year ago but received an email in August 2024 stating that it would now be Al a carte menu for evening meal. The quality and variety of the food was not so good. I got chicken and couldn’t cut into it and was offered a steak knife. napkins were paper for a 4 star hotel would have expected better quality and having to pay a euro for each time you wanted a glass of ice. Very disappointed and will not return.

My wife and I have stayed at the Vulcano for many years and hitherto, it has ben our hotel of choice. Sadly, the standards have dropped and whilst we were prepared to share our bedroom with the the "endemic" cockroaches (16 externated with the aid of a spray), the change in evening meal main course arrangements has proved to be the last straw for us and others that we spoke to. Management has previously commented that the move towards (limited choice) a la carte meals has been to provide quality meals, but like many other guests we were not impressed with what was available. The few remaining buffet alternatives were uninspiring and repetitive. Even though we had paid for Half Board, our disappointment was such that we ate out on occasions. Like others we met, we are unlikely to return to the Vulcano under the present regime and have already made alternative arrangements for our two visits to Tenerife next year - not a decision we have taken lightly. It seems that Management is happy to pursue a downward spiral policy which will do nothing to maintain otherwise guaranteed bookings from previously loyal guests. Perhaps they are deliberately trying to encourage a different and not elderly clientel! We did note that there appeared to be less evening diners and more vacant sunbeds around the pool during our stay. We would like to thank the staff at the hotel, for their service and friendliness during our many stays and it is most unfortunate that they have been the ones who have been the front-line recipients of complaints. On a more positive note, we were pleased to see that some new evening entertainment has been booked to replace acts that have appeared each year for the last 3 years.

Honest review . Arrived at the hotel at 9.30 pm on Saturday evening check in was quick easy painless . We booked the UP package and git given a room on the 7th floor opened the door and I thought to myself this rooms very small especially for a up room , jet 2 stated that they would be robes slippers towels and a alexa type of thing in the room we didn't have anything and the si called alexa thing was ripped of the wall . Went to put the passport in the safe and the door was nearly hanging of the hinge so my husband had to tighten it back up . I went outside on the balcony and I made the mistake of putting my arms on the balcony rail, my husband said you better get of that becouse the rail was coverd in ants 🐜 so I walked back and shuck my top . Then I looked down there was about 4 cockroach on the floor so we came in and shut the door . Underneath the tea and coffee station was another cockroach so we decided to go down to reception and speak to staff , he reported it and said somone will be up tomorrow to spray around the room to witch I said well have you got some spray now and I will spray the room so he went in the back got some spray and gave it my . Went back to the room and gave it a good spray round then we noticed more ants coming from the skirting board s so obviously they died so we were left with dead ants and 2 dead cockroach on the floor in the corner. The next morning we went out and came back to notice house keeping had been in the room made the beds but left the dead ants and cockroach on the floor . So I went down to reception to tell them and a lovely lady asked us if we would like to change rooms the next day and we said yes please . So after 2 nights we changed rooms in to room 714 alot bigger and just in general better room . I just think for the amount of money I paid you shouldn't have to start your holiday this way , I know things were sorted out but its disappointing. I think the hotel has dropped its standard s . The staff in the dining room look so glum and miserable it makes you feel awkward sometimes you feel like you shouldn't be there . All in all I wont be returning to the vulcano hotel will give the newly refurbished Mediterranean Palace a try next time what we went to see and walked through. .
