Want a great holiday in Lanzarote Then Hotel LIVVO Volcan is the place for you Just came back 4-11th Oct The hotel is lovely, staff helpful, friendly nothing to much trouble Location right on the marina perfect for bars resturants ( all budgets) and supermarkets x3 water etc Breakfast, to much choice 1/2 dozen types of bread cold and hot offers a plenty ( 4 toasters) Egg Station Evening meals ( we took the 3 night offer, like to eat out some nights) Again great, hot grill master chef at work, soups hot cold, salads omg everything, Ice creamn 4 flavours spuds (have a mixed grill Roast, Mash, Spanish Spuds & Mash :) You will not be dissappointed Hotel room spotless, aircon very easy to use ( most hotels aircon never work properly) Fridge, Kettle, Plenty 2 point sockets everywhere. I emailed the hotel before arrival requesting a certain type of room and on arrival this was allocated to my husband and myself. Check in was swift and a drink was offered along with a cold meal being delivered to our room which we declined as it was 10.30pm. The suite was clean and kept to a high standard during our stay. Plenty of room in the wardrobes, drawers and other storage areas. All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, polite and efficient, a credit to H10. The hotel is ideally located in Playa Blanca, within five minutes of a lovely beach and a further walk takes you to the marina in one direction and the port in another where you can catch a ferry to Fuerteventura. Twice a week there is an artisan's market at the marina where a wide variety of products are available. We only spent two afternoons by the pool as we prefer the beach but the sunbeds were comfortable although some of the umbrellas were broken. We stayed all inclusive, the wine was good and it is worth while working your way through the cocktails as they are delicious!! There was a good variety of food available for every palate and service was efficient and always with a smile. However, during our stay, both my husband and I were ill with food poisoning and when we reported the incident to reception were told it was ” bacteria in the air”. I don't think so and reading other reviews I see that food poisoning has been mentioned several times. It is because of this I can only give the White Suites three stars. We have stayed in the hotel previously as it is adults only and enjoyed our time there which is why we booked the White Suites again but would hesitate to go again. The hotel needs to investigate its hygiene standards to see what is causing the food contamination.

This was our third visit this year. We stayed for 10 Nights 17-27 October. As always the location and food quality are excellent. We also had the pleasure in meeting the General Manager Diego Campo Ferreiro, thank you for taking time out to speak with Sandra and I. However given the location and food quality what the hotel really excels in the is the staff. The hotel benefits from staff that at times exceed customer expectations that help the hotel achieve the competitive edge over others. Although we found all staff excellent including Carlos, Mike (restaurant), Charaf (bar area) the four members that stood out by going the extra mile were Christina (room cleaning) Elisa (Reception) Sandra (hotel shop) and Catalina (Guest Relations) please send our regards. We stayed at MYND Yaiza during October half term as a family of three with our 11 year old daughter. Overall, agree with the summary themes from previous reviews that we have read, and have now read after visiting for the first time. Good things: - Cleanliness - Staff friendliness (special shout to Carmen and Victor for the wine tasting experience!) - Standard of accommodation - Food quality - Layout and location - Grounds maintenance - The spa Room for improvement (please listen MYND as lots of customers are calling these out!): - Staff deployment seems a bit erratic (one person on reception, leads to frequent queues) although you don’t have to wait too long normally - Paper credit system - why not use an App instead? It’s archaic! No one wants to carry large A5 pieces of paper around all day - Bars are frequently under-staffed, again leading to queues (people used to all inclusives will find this really annoying) - Pool temperatures (the heated ones are OK in October) the others are freezing! And they are the ones with the slides in which kids want to use - Use of waiting buzzers in pool bar for snacks but have to hang around at lunchtime in the restaurant if you get snacks from there - why not have the same system? Although the above seems like a lengthy list, overall it was a positive experience. So thanks for a relaxing holiday! We’d recommend but won’t be back, only because we’ve many more places to explore. If you go to MYND Yaiza we think you will have most of your expectations met.

Generally a good hotel. Could be better with a few minor tweaks. Some staff let it down with an indifferent attitude. Spa staff were exceptionally pleasant and stood out from the rest. The rooms are good with comfortable beds and pillows. However the floor is dirty and needs to be washed - hence the slippers provided, I’m guessing. Difficult to get into the shower as the bath panel is almost a foot wide and there’s nothing to hold onto to get in. (I’m completely able bodied so not due to any limitations.) My friend had a massive bruise on her leg due to this. The queues at the inside and outside bar unacceptable - only one person serving. The restaurant has a good choice with plenty plates however very few bowls and cups. We were having porridge and yoghurt on a plate! Not enough staff clearing tables/topping up bowls and cups. Lovely pools however very cold. Sad to see them not being used. If heated, I’m guessing they would have been full. Evening entertainment pretty good and put an hour in. We weren’t told at reception that the spa was part of our package. Only found out at the end of the week so used it once. Shame. Plenty sun beds but the usual people putting towels down then not arriving until late afternoon. Annoying! A well placed hotel central to resort. Would I go again? Probably not as our kids are older and there were a lot of families with young children but that’s my choice. Overall a nice family hotel.

After reading all the reviews I was dreading staying here, so much so we wanted to change hotels. After a couple of days we found our stay to be pleasant. All staff we encounter were friendly and polite. We arrived late Monday night, we had a Alfredo checking us in and he was lovely and very honest. He really managed our expectations. We was advised there was a basic cold buffet as we arrived late. A little bit of bread, crackers, cheese cold meat, some salad, fruit and cake. Literally managed expectations cos that’s all there was. This hotel needs a massive injection of money to get it upto scratch. It’s definitely “you can’t polish a turd, but you can throw glitter at it” kind of place. I can imagine it was a nice hotel when it first opened. Yes it does have the amenities of a 4 star such as bus shuttle to the beach, supermarket, spa, water park etc but it is your affordable basic 4 star hotel. As a whole the hotel in general is tired and dated. Hotel staff work there arses off to clean and maintain the best they can. It’s the owners that need to pull their finger out and make it nice again. You get a few rough and ready customers staying here. Language was appalling on some of the guests. Smoking by the pool - this really needs to be reinforced by staff members as it’s not permitted. There was a general disrespect for the hotel, that some of the guests had, not using bins which there was plenty dotted about, not following H&S in the pool at night. I can see why other people complain about the uncleanliness- but every morning you see workers cleaning up from the night before and guests leave it a dump- it’s a shamed. I overheard some guests complaining of burglaries and guests balcony hopping. We never had anything stolen ourselves but one night I heard someone trying our door. I did try to report this on numerous times but there was always a wait to speak to reception, due to the volume of guests at the desk. So I never got the chance. Rooms - basic, dated but clean. We didn’t see any bugs in our room or in our beds. Our room didn’t get an air con remote but it was addressed ASAP as soon as we notified reception. We had house keeping cleaning our room (667), making beds and fresh towels 6 days a week. Their day off is a Friday. Our room was situated very close to water park, in fact the slides backed off our rooms - this didn’t bother us. It was a nice and quiet spot and you could sleep. Beds are very firm, which I don’t mind, but others may struggle. We were a family of 4, but we was only given 3 blue blankets, a 4th would have been better and should have asked for one. The room came with a TV, fridge with mini freezer, microwave in our room. Along with a kettle and cups, spoons and saucer but no coffee or teabags to accompany. Maybe I was suppose to get them from restaurant. Nice walk in rain shower, with hairdryer and lots of shampoos and shower gels. Food/drink - lots of variety especially at dinner, we never went hungry

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)
