Absolutely loved our stay at the Elba Premium Suites. We were a little hesitant when reading all the negative reviews after we booked but it was amazing. Food was not always piping hot, but taste & variety was great. Staff definitely were in short supply but this, we believe, is the case for the entire island & not specific to this hotel. The staff were amazing &, despite being run off their feet, they always delivered with a smiles on their faces. Housekeeping was perfect - our suite was absolutely pristine & very tastefully decorated. Although we were in the adults only section, we did use the non-adult pool area most days as we thought it was more social than the adults only pool. A lovely touch was the pillow menu - particularly for myself as I, at home, use latex pillows & this was the only hotel that I've ever stayed in that was able to provide these. The only faults would be, as mentioned above, the food wasn't always hot & there were occasions where cutlery or crockery was in short supply (although quickly remedied once brought to a staff member's attention) - & it's proximity to the beach and marina. My friend and I walked every day but we could see this would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues or small children who aren't in pushchairs. All in all, a lovely stay & we would highly recommend it.

2nd stay here. This time we stayed in the Adult only Premier Suites. Room lovely. Slippers and robes a nice touch. Cleaners were great. No English TV channels for the 2nd half of the stay. German channels and Spanish were fine. Lovely gesture of a bottle of fizz and a card on my birthday. Long Long queues for check in. About 35 minute wait. Adult only bar only ever had one person. They worked hard but they need two. Entertainment a bit boring but maybe so people don't stay and drink too much? We were half board so we even drank on our room instead of queuing. Not much choice for a main course. Plates were cleared away but then places not set for the next guests. Such a shame. More staff needed in reception, the bar and restaurant. 15 min walk down to Playa Blanca or Flamingo Beach out of the back gate. Lovely stay but would have been perfect with more staff....

What a shame this hotel could be amazing but it fell short in so many areas.location is 15 walk from the port/ beach, shops, uphill back but doable. Checking in took 50 mins with just 2 staff on reception. There were refreshment drink while you wait. But no air con to keep the queue cool. I went adult only.’prestige’ so safe should have been free, it wasn’t. The slippers and robe were part of the prestige package but they had no slippers as they ran out. The suite was nice, with walk in shower and 2 single beds but cleaning seemed to be throw water over the floor and mop slightly. The floor was never cleaned the whole week. 2” of water sat outside my suite after the rain for two days and even though I asked for it to be swept away no one came. The UK channels on the TV didn’t work after Wednesday and reception said they couldn’t do anything about it. Nice to have 2 flatscreen TVs, if anything to watch. Buffet food in adults only was poor. Very little choice, unlike in the family buffet, but when you pay extra for adult only, you don’t expect to have to eat with the families. Adult only pool Is very nice with a lovely cafe attached with well looked after toilet facilities. However, as always, unless you play the towel on the sun lounger game at 7:30am, there are none available. Not the hotels fault but just for awareness. Lovely spa onsite with steam room, hydro pool with jets and jacuzzi area, hot tiled beds and a sauna. But the steam room was closed for repair. Small adult only bar that was only manned by 1 staff who work very hard, but long queues. When you travel alone and don’t feel that you can leave your personal possessions on your seat while you queue, when you get back your seat has been taken. It’s just awkward but wouldn’t have been an issue if the queue was shorter. All in all, a nice 3/4 star hotel that is not reaching its potential in any way. Will I return? No, there’s so much more choice at that price point that I would not visit again.

La struttura è in un contesto molto piacevole, tuttavia si incorre in alcune mancanze dettate dalla scarsa volontà e dalle abitudini di procrastinazione di alcune persone di servizio. Per esempio, in camera abbiamo soggiornato in 3 e avevamo 2 asciugamani, fatto presente al primo giorno, diverse volte hanno continuato a mettere solo 2 asciugamani. Ma questa non è la sola area di miglioramento. A pranzo qualche volta mancavano i cucchiai e richiesto hanno portato un solo cucchiaio, come se questa richiesta riguardasse una sola persona e non tutto il buffet. Le parti positive sono sicuramente maggiori degli aspetti da migliorare, però anche nei dettagli, chiederei maggiori attenzioni.

Just got home from my third visit but so disappointed this time. I booked here for my 50th birthday but I didn’t receive so much as a happy birthday message let alone Cava and a card that everyone else appears to have received. When I asked reception if I should have prebooked this they said ’No you just got forgot’. No offer of a belated bottle from the girl just shrugged shoulders! They also closed the adults bar that day because it rained for 30 minutes so I couldn’t even get a drink myself without walking across the complex and carrying it back to the adults pool myself. The food is now terrible. Very little vegetarian options. Theres a vegetarian pasta sauce but the pasta is usually a meat ravioli. We haven’t seen lasagna or pizza yet which is usually a standard. Usually mis matched items that don’t make a meal. Nothing is labelled. I can’t eat seafood but a dish will often just say curry, with no indication as to the contents and finding a staff member who knows is nigh on impossible. Tongs are also swapped between foods so if you have an allergy please be careful. We booked adults only to avoid noise but on Thursday at the pool a man was playing a saxophone live to a dance music tape right next to the pool which made swimming impossible as he’s plugged into electric you don’t want to splash him and sunbathing was anything but peaceful. We had no choice but to go back to our room. I used to love it here but I’m really upset they couldn’t acknowledge id chosen to spend my birthday at their hotel and didn’t care when I mentioned it. It’s lovely and clean but the food and guest relations really let it down

Staying here for two weeks. Mostly nice rooms very clean and comfy. However, catering leaves a lot to desired. Staying within the adults only restaurant, layout is bad. Plates at one end, food spread out, so constant back and forwards to collect. Food often cold and some staff incredibly rude (evening chef) The Italian restaurant, which is supposed to be a treat, was not. We were put at a table, and then surrounded by families with screeching infants ( we’ve paid to be in adults only part of the hotel) they could have asked where would like to sit??? They then ignored us for the next 20 mins. So we and another couple left.

Stayed in the Elba Premium Suites, room was lovely and super clean. The bungalows are in a quiet part of the hotel complex and have their own pool, which was also really nice (if quite small and busy) The hotel is ideally located near to Playa Blanca and there is a nice walk down to the town and Marina. The thing that let the hotel down was the really poor standard in the restaurant, mainly due to insufficient staffing. I am not a big foodie and so was happy to have the salad etc but food ran out, it got cold and didn't look very appealing. The main issue was that tables were not cleared and so you had dinner and breakfast surrounded by dirty tables which just wasn't great. If the hotel management sorted this out, this would be a fantastic place to stay. It didn't spoil a fantastic holiday in Playa Blanca, which is a nice resort, but the Hotel really does need to address the dining issues. The spa is nice and the whole complex had a nice atmosphere; the combination of family areas and the adults only area works really well. Grounds are nice and the pool areas really clean and well maintained.

Second visit and the adults only pool area and los James’s snack bar was as great as two years ago. Made fun by Chuss and his staff again ! Had such fun especially when the Benny Hill glass collection came on , hysterical ! Lovely guy and very caring of his customers even dancing with some , brilliant ! Music great and not too loud , food wonderful! Lovely pool . Sadly there seems to be a lack of staff compared to two years ago so the other areas have suffered a bit , like long waits for a drink on our first night at the restaurant and having to ask eventually it like many places once you try with them and are friendly you certainly get it back in spades . Rooms great again , lovely towels , bedding , robes and cold water and drinks replenished every day . We miss Sylvia who was our bar server before we went into El mirador restaurant ! So friendly , efficient and fun . Last time we stayed there was more live singers , violinists etc , prefer that to the mini disco they attempted . Overall very happy but do feel for the staff who do seem under pressure .
