Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Plantation

Overall everything is good

We stayed at this hotel for a soccer tournament as a family of 4. It was clean and as described. Breakfast was fine for a family and the kids loved to make their own waffles. The pool and basketball court were fun and enjoyed. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite, it was clean snd spacious.

I had a disappointing experience during my stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in Plantation. When I booked my reservation, I chose the advanced payment option, but upon arrival, it was not reflected in their system. On the second day of my stay, the hotel manager locked us out of our room without any prior notification—no call, text, or email. When I approached the front desk to find out what was going on, I was informed that my room hadn't been paid for. I was quite shocked, as I had selected the prepayment option. When I asked why the funds hadn't been deducted from my card, the staff were unable to provide any explanation, simply stating, “I don’t know.” What was particularly frustrating was the lack of communication. Why was I not informed at check-in that there was an issue with my payment? The manager had even seen me at breakfast that morning but didn’t mention anything to me about the problem. Instead, they chose to wait until my family and I left for the day, resulting in us being locked out of our room with three exhausted babies in tow after a long day of activities. To make matters worse, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience from the manager, who came across as rude and indifferent. This experience was incredibly disappointing, considering the reputation of the Marriott brand, and it has left a lasting negative impression of our stay.

Marie and Michelle at the front desk provide friendly and excellent customer service any time day or night. I am very appreciative of Francis ' assistance in helpubf to facilitate mt ability to perform mt job effectively and thanks to Esther and Anna in housekeeping, great job! I was diligently checking on accommodations for an overdue trip to Ft Lauderdale. From the day I contacted the Marriott and was referred to by the Weston TownePlace suites the response was very encouraging and warm as they were under renovation. I then checked in at the Residence Inn Plantation. Francis the sales manager and Marie the front office manager greeted me at the front with all my questions answered. Francis offered me some cookies which I found was very hospitable in welcoming guests down to earth. The check-in was great, and the room was good. My stay was good, and Marie and Michelle and the staff were on hand to assist me with all the info and make sure the stay was a memorable one. Yes the hotel seems it has some wear and tear and some areas needs some infrastructure work. But the staff really do go out their way to assist guests and be as helpful as can be. I want to mention that Marie really assisted me during my trip and facilitated the information about the area that I needed to visit that saved me time. Will be returning for my next visit to the area.

Thank you Residence Inn plantation for a wonderful stay during my latest Business trip! The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was great and very delicious too. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing after a long day of business meetings. The room was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly bigger than I expected it to be... The staff was accommodating, professional, and very friendly... Especially Marie at the front desk... Marie was great and she often gave me good advice on places to eat and things to do in the area, She was always smiling, and she made us feel like a valued platinum Elite member. I will definitely stay at this fine hotel again whenever I am in the area again...

Everything at the Residence Inn plantation was Great! Marie at the front desk was amazing, friendly, helpful, and very professional. Marie was also very attentive and gave us excellent advice about places to eat and things to do in the area. The room was very comfortable, clean, and surprisingly bigger than I expected it to be... The breakfast was a great start to my day and very delicious too... I will definitely be back at this hotel when I am in the area... Arrived here later in the evening than I expected. The room was nice, a little bigger than what I needed for 1 person and 1 night. I was surprised the pool was still open, other Residence Inn properties I have stayed close them earlier. Had to go to the front desk to get towels as someone had thrown all the pool towels in the hot tub. Enjoyed an evening swim till the smokers showed up. Went to the little market in the lobby to get a snack and a drink but all they had was soda, water, beer, and orange/blue sports drink. No juice options. It would have been nice to sit out by the firepit but the smokers were there again. All the areas where the smokers were hanging out had no smoking signs and were visible on the cameras at the front desk but the front desk attendant did nothing about it. Breakfast the next morning was great. I had booked the reservation over the phone with Marriott and they did not mention there was a charge for parking at the time so the $5.35 charge the next day was a surprise.
