My husband and I stay in room 220 for 2 nights on a trip to visit family. We often stay in West Mifflin a few times a year and this was our first time staying at the Marriott. We set up a late check-in and were greeted by very friendly staff. Overall our stay was nice. Room was very spacious with a separate seating area, pull out sofa bed and King size bed. There is also a desk if you need to work remotely. The room also has a small hospitality area with a mini fridge and microwave if needed. The only surprise for us is there was still random food and drinks from the last guests in the fridge. Free breakfast is offered, hotel has an indoor pool, fitness and easy parking. The only strange thing about the room is it looks out at a huge white wall that completely blocks the view.

Just renovated early 2023. Looks newer inside. Smells good. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants such as Taco bell, Arby, Apple Bee’s, and even Target. Comfy bed and great spacial room. Great staff. They are very helpful and so accommodating. There is a workable grill in the back.

I'm a Gold Elite Marriot Bonvoy member and I will never stay at this property again. I was placed in a room that had lingering ********* odors that were less intense then when I was placed in the exact same room a few months before, but this time it seemed tolerable. However, the room later became unbearable in the middle of the night (around 2 AM) when someone in the room beside me started smoking, and since I'm allergic, I awoke having difficulty breathing. I was told by a staff member that they could not enforce their nonsmoking policy because, while he could smell smoke, he wasn't 100% certain which room it was coming from. I lost most of the night's sleep, became very ill with a bronchial infection that required antibiotics and an inhaler, and lost an entire week of work. As I stayed for 3 nights, I asked for 1 night's compensation, but was told to wait to speak with the manager for a financial remedy after the holiday weekend was over. The manager refused to return any of my calls or acknowledge the notes from her staff. Corporate kept reopening the case, but the hotel manager would instantly close it. I have traveled the world staying at Marriott properties, and this was the worst experience that I have ever had. I will not give this location a third chance until there is a management change, and I am staying at the local Hilton property from now on when visiting family.

Room looks nicely updated but several of the upgrades are not practical. Sofa bed was replaced with trundle bed. It’s way too wide to sit on and SO hard. Very uncomfortable. There’s no longer a sink in the ‘kitchenette’. We stay here every year for our family reunion. Need to be able to prepare food to take and cleanup. Had to use bathroom sink. Really missed second sink. Vanity is mounted very high. Fine for us but not if traveling with kids. At 5’9” my feet hung off end of bed. And pool was under construction for at least the second year. Will probably look for some pace else to stay next year

I previously stayed here over a decade ago and recently revisited during a trip to Pittsburgh and was pleasantly surprised to how different the hotel looked, in the best way possible! The entire facility has been undergoing renovations, and you can definitely tell upgrades have been made; the front lobby is spacious, clean, and inviting and is right near the area where free breakfast is hosted in the morning. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern, with our standard two bed room having a large desk/kitchenette space, a couch, and two tvs in addition to the beds! The location is great; right near a major road and plenty of shopping and restaurants—-perfect for those looking to stay in Pittsburgh but still be close to attractions!

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 4nights and overall it was a nice hotel. Our room was clean and it had plenty of room. The breakfast was AWFUL!! I am a Marriott Rewards Member and have stayed at many, many Marriott owned properties and this was the worst for breakfast. The options were very limited and what they did have was cold or just unappealing.

I am Titanium Elite with Marriot so I stay primarily at Marriott properties. I'm not sure how this one keeps the Marriott name. We stayed there three nights, so this was not just a one night, bad day. Only one of the two elevators was working. The "Business Center" computer was slower than the Commodore 64 I had years ago and was the subject of ridicule by the front desk person. The pool was closed. The toilet seat in the room would not stay up and overall, it was just an old, tired hotel. They are in the middle of a remodel, but friends who live near there say the remodel has been going on for year. I would absolutely avoid this hotel and I usually love Spring hill Suites.

We had soccer games in town and decided to stay by the field. Due to a Steelers game and other events in the town, hotel rates were high, and availability was low all around the downtown area. All hotels were overpriced, including this one. The Springhill Suites was as expected. Though a 3 star, I would probably lower it to 2.5 star simply because of the wear and tear, age showing on the rooms, that need to be renovated. But most importantly, it was clean. Due to the busyness of the time we stayed, the hotel actually ran out of conditioner too. No complaints overall. Just expect it to be an older hotel.
