Residence Inn Greenville

Staff is extremely friendly. From front desk, to breakfast and room cleaning. Very clean hotel. Would recommend it for sure if visiting the area. Nice pool and outdoor area. Liked the layout of the rooms as well. Seemed very new and easy accessible.

After a long day of travel from Winston-Salem for a business meeting early tomorrow morning across the street at ECU Health, I arrived at the Residence Inn Greenville, ready to unwind. Upon checking into my room, I noticed a minor issue with the shower. However, this was quickly and professionally resolved by the Assistant Manager, Madison, and her incredibly kind and helpful assistant, Jalyn. As someone who has been traveling for business for nearly two decades, I understand that small discrepancies can occur. What sets this experience apart is how swiftly and efficiently the team addressed the issue. Their level of service and attentiveness is something I’ve rarely encountered. Having been a frequent guest at Marriott Courtyard properties in the past, my positive experience at the Residence Inn has led me to make this my preferred choice for future stays. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service and the relaxing atmosphere provided by this hotel and their staff.

Outstanding customer service! From the moment we arrived until departure, Brenda was excellent & exceeded expectations. She made our whole stay even better than the beautiful hotel looked. Javier was no different, he was so helpful and full of knowledge & went out of his way to enhance our experience. I hope they are at the desk every time we come & will also be sending others to this hotel in the future. Thanks for choosing just the right people for the position.

OMG the whole entire staff were awesome!!! They were polite and very friendly!!! The area was nice and clean. Checkin/checkout went smooth. Breakfast was almost as if I made it myself!! Great job everyone!! We will definitely be returning soon!!

The hospitality was amazing. Cieara M was amazing. She very attentive to our needs and was always pleasant. Ms. Rhonda had a larger than life personality and made me feel awesome first thing in the morning. She ensure everything for breakfast was well stocked. My ultimate favorite part other than being near everything was the hot water!!! Best shower ever. I definitely would recommend you to stay here. With the spacious suite you’ll feel right at home!!!

I have made a reservation and paid a pretty penny. Then came the reality check. Most of the lights in the room don’t work. There is nowhere to plug in my laptop as in the wall across which was inconvenient. All the table lamps are out of order, none work. Bedside light didn't work either. So I had to keep the door to the bathroom open for some light. The front desk doesn’t care and doesn’t respond to my inquiries. Parking lot is not plowed in the mid-January. I left early and am not looking back. Stay away from this joint. Nothing but a one-star hotel with inflated prices.

The rooms smelled terrible. The first room we checked into smelled like a litter box. We stayed there for one night, and I could hardly sleep all night because it smelled so bad. The next day we asked to move to a different room, and the front desk employee was very accommodating but the second room smelled like a dog. That was more tolerable for me, I guess, because I’m used to dogs. I’ve stayed in many pet-friendly hotels over the years, and I have never ever smelled the animals in the hotel. But this one was awful. It does not seem like the rooms are being cleaned properly when there is such a stench left behind. I also found the inconsistencies in the rooms frustrating. I don’t know how hotels these days don’t have USB ports near the bed or on the desk. The first one we stayed in had a very old alarm clock that didn’t even have a USB port. But in the second room, it had a more modern clock and it had a USB port. I guess I don’t understand why the same clock (or the same features) aren’t in every room.

This property is convenient to assess ECU health however the property is not up-kept. From the time you walk in the carpets are dusty and not cleaned. The elevator is old with visible damage. The rooms was said to be upgraded in 2020 but you can see that housekeeping is not thorough. The appliances are all dirty. Trash was left in the first room and the bathroom titles are mildew. The closest doors is glass and was not cleaned. Visible dust in the sides of the bed and corners. There is a Homewood suites newly opening in May 2023 it’s located directly behind this hotel

Gross hair and mold on the bathroom floor. Shower curtain wouldn’t stay in the shower because it’s too short so every time I showered water leaked all over the floor. I sent photos of the hair to the manager. He told me the photo I sent him wasn’t of his hotel. It was 100% from my bathroom in HIS hotel. He never addressed the shower curtain and the water all over the floor. I asked for enough points to book another room at a later time. He denied my request and said my complaints weren’t valid. I’ll never stay there again. And I’d suggest you not either
