The owner of the B&B is very, very nice! When I arrived, he received me very warmly, gave me water, helped me plan the route to the scenic spots, recommended restaurants, and gave me coupons. I also bought cheaper tickets for ”See Pingyao Again” through the owner. I wanted to go to Wang's Courtyard and arranged a car. The owner has always been very caring, really considerate, and a very sincere person!
The courtyard environment is very beautiful and unique. I took a lot of photos, which are very good. The room is clean and hygienic, with everything it should have, and it is very quiet. The location of the B&B is very close to the scenic spots, and it can be walked for a few minutes.
Originally planned to stay only one night, but the overall experience was so good that I decided to stay another night. Because of special reasons, I upgraded my room on the first night.
I strongly recommend everyone to come to Pingyao to experience the enthusiasm of Shanxi, and I will definitely come again if I have the chance in the future!

Advantages: Inside the scenic area, it is easy to walk and very close to the Yamen.
The whole yard is also very nice, and there are kittens in it, which are very cute.
Disadvantages: The room is a bit trendy and the facilities are simple, but I stay here just for the experience, so I can't compare it with a hotel.
The most important problem is that I hope you don't encounter a neighbor who doesn't rest in the middle of the night. The sound insulation is almost the same. You can hear the washing and talking next door clearly, which is too uncomfortable.

Excellent location in the old city. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Provide a free shuttle service between hotel and city gate since cars are not allowed in the city walls. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower was a bit low.

The most satisfying inn I stayed in Pingyao. The environment is very good and cozy. The proprietress is beautiful and enthusiastic. It's like going to a friend's house. Share some food and travel tips! The room I booked has good lighting. It feels like life has really slowed down. It's very cozy. So I stayed one more day. It's a place you want to stay all the time. Very good location. Within the old town and close to many attractions and to the lower west gate where taxis can drop passengers. Very good services from staff. The hotel was converted from an old mansion which is a tourist attraction in itself. Do note that there are steps between the entrance and most rooms. Also, our room was over two floors. While these steps and stairs do not bother us it is something to note.

I have recently stayed at Pingyao Jia Inn, I really enjoy staying there. The staff were friendly and treated guests like family, especially the Owner and his wife. They do not hesitate to help me to manage my traveling plan around Pingyao. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. I would recommend Pingyao Jia Inn to everyone. Can’t wait to visit it again !

This Inn is managed by a family that is very nice. Once you arrive from the train station (Pingyaogucheng) with a taxi, they come to pick you up to the Inn (2 min) because the taxi isn't allowed inside the ancient city. They offer to drive you one way to or from the train station (it's free).
I was in a room with a traditional atmosphere (with a kang bed having a mattress a little harder than others).

Near the north gate of the ancient city, the environment is very quiet and the courtyard is quiet. The owner gave me a small gift when I left. The owner picked me up at the parking lot. When I went out to play, the owner drove me to the central area. It was a very good experience.

AAReally nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants.
The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

AArt13Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

It is a very good inn, on the main street, with attractions nearby, convenient to go anywhere, the bathroom and guest room bath water is very comfortable, hot immediately, and the service is warm and thoughtful. The room is consistent with the picture, the decoration style is very much liked, the various facilities are beautifully arranged, clean and hygienic, rest assured to stay, good sound insulation, warm air conditioning, slept very well all night, the environment is comfortable and quiet, turn right when you go out, it is the famous Rishengchang Ticket, it is very convenient to visit, the yard environment is very comfortable and open! Experience the slow-paced life and leisurely and comfortable place in the ancient city. The innkeeper is very enthusiastic, comfortable to stay, and a very happy stay experience. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI went there on the second day of the ***** New Year. Hotels and B&Bs in the scenic area were too expensive. I booked the boss’ B&B online. It was pretty good, but the location was a bit out of the way. I booked a double bed room with my brother, and the boss gave me an extra bed. Quilt
