Floral Hotels in Pingyao

Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

Best place we stayed in during our trip in China!! The courtyard is magnificent and our room was clean and comfortable. The hosts were great. Always willing to help us in any way possible to make our stay in Pingyao even better. I would highly recommend if you're coming to Pingyao!

I have never really reviewed it, but I really recommend it with five stars for this hotel experience🤩 I always thought the hotel price was a bit high, but after the experience, I was sure it was worth the money👍The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city, which is very convenient for visiting the ancient city and watching ”See Pingyao Again”. The most important thing is that the hotel environment is great, and you can take pictures everywhere (¯▽¯)👍The room is clean, the yard is safe and quiet, and the children can go out to play with peace of mind. The sound insulation is good, and you don't have to worry about noise when you get up late. 😂 There are snacks and breakfast when you stay in the hotel, and there are gifts when you leave the hotel🎁, which is really heartwarming❤️

The inn was renovated from the 300-year-old former residence of Hou Wangbin. The current owner has a strong awareness of protecting historical buildings. The entire inn has been restored to its original state, preserving its appearance 300 years ago as much as possible. All staff members are very polite and have a strong sense of pride and belief in Pingyao and historical buildings. We were fortunate to stay here for one night and to have an intersection with the buildings that were 100 years old. I hope that the inns in Pingyao can learn more from the practices here, and on the basis of protecting historical ancient buildings, more people can witness the value of Pingyao.

Environment: The hotel is in a good location in the ancient city, near Rishengchang Ticket Office, which is convenient for dining and visiting the ancient city. The hotel is built on the basis of a 200-300-year-old house, where you can experience the old architectural culture of Shanxi. Facilities: Complete and comprehensive, especially friendly to the elderly, the bathroom has stools and barrier-free facilities, the room has a place to dry clothes, and there is a place to drink tea and take a rest in the yard, which is very humane. Service: The service of his family is worth praising, especially the meticulous service of the housekeeper. Our housekeeper Xiao Wang was thoughtful, careful, patient and enthusiastic from room booking to hotel stay to check-out, leaving us with unforgettable and beautiful memories of our Pingyao trip.

It's a very cozy courtyard. It's independent and quiet when the door is closed. It feels like home. The breakfast is home-cooked and very comfortable. The boss is very nice and answers all questions. He responds promptly when communicating via WeChat. The young lady in the store is really nice. We sat at the south gate when we went there. The boss promptly arranged for the young lady to pick us up and drop us off when we left. When I arrived at the bus stop, I gave various instructions, which was very considerate, and even gave me some old vinegar! Next time I have a chance to come to Pingyao, I will lock in this place!

The location is very good, not far from Pingyao Ancient City. The hotel looks antique. Overall good. A group of 10 people traveled with the tour group, mostly friends. When booking, the tour group insisted that they could not guarantee twin rooms, only double rooms. There was no way to cancel 4 rooms and book twin rooms online. As a result, there were twin rooms in the hotel. There was a problem with the light system in the room. It seemed that it could not be turned off completely. There was no usual ”main switch” but some kind of ”sleep mode”. - -.

The boss was very enthusiastic. We took the bus and got off at Xiaonanmen. The boss personally drove us to pick us up. Driving is not allowed in the ancient city. The boss used a motorcycle to carry our suitcases to the inn. Yunzhi Inn surprised us, the antique courtyard is very beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and water dispenser. Hot water for bathing is very good. Made us feel at home. Thank you for the hospitable boss!

The hotel is registered as one of the historical buildings in Pingyao ancient city. The hotel is beautiful, decorated with wooden ancient-style windows and doors with small courtyard in front of our room. Inside the room is modern style, spacious and high ceiling while the outside yields an ancient atmosphere. We also like the hotel location. It is in a quiet area but easy to commute to many attraction spots with not a too long distance walking. We have no complaint on overall facilities. The owner and his wife are also friendly and helpful.
