I was feeling sick and was on the verge of catching a cold, so I headed to the hotel early. Although other guests were allowed to check in early, I was made to wait because the cleaning wasn't done yet. The woman in charge, Ellie, was very rude and didn't let me into my room even at 3 o'clock.
The woman who told me about the bus timetable was kind.
The room was small with no view (I wish they would specify this when choosing the room).
The only amenities were soap and shower caps provided, and there was not even a kettle. The heating was not turned on and it was very cold because it was on the mountain.
When I went to the front desk to borrow a kettle, the woman said that it should be in the room, and if there wasn't, I could just get a cup of hot water at the restaurant, so they wouldn't lend it to me.
It was so cold that I caught a cold, so I was in trouble because I wanted to boil water in the kettle and drink hot tea several times.
The staff at the restaurant were all very kind, and when I said I had a sore throat, they shared some honey with me.
There were many options for breakfast, and the view from the restaurant was beautiful.
It was a good price, but if you expect a 4-star hotel, you will be disappointed.
There are plenty of other hotels in Pienza that are cheaper and have better views.
