This was a surprise weekend away for my birthday. The building is picturesque and the rooms clean, airy and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Very quiet area but for a pub in the middle of nowhere the bar and restaurant were heaving both Friday and Saturday night. Dinner on Saturday was wholesome, hearty but also elegant and reasonably priced. Breakfast was well cooked with local produce and a good portion. Overall would recommend and would stay here again.

Comfortable room, maybe a little on the small side for some, but not a problem for us. The building is old and full of character; the location is rural and peaceful. Great food with plenty of choice on the menu. Lovely staff who were more than happy to help. Highly recommended.

Finding a quaint rural pub in Dorset which does better than the traditional pub standards - burgers, fish & chips etc - can be a challenge but it's worth the expedition to Plush for the pigeon, pork ribs and sea bass. Sadly such delicacies don't come cheap these days (what does?) at £100 for three courses with a bottle of wine but for that special occasion, or just to treat yourself, it's worth it. He/she/it cannot survive on chips alone!

What a lovely find this place was! In the middle of no where with amazing views. Matt and Shannon very hospitable and attentive. Food amazing and everyone friendly. Peace was what we wanted and it certainly delivered! Beautiful walks. Will return

Just returned from an overnight stay and have already booked a return trip. Room was comfortable and spacious, lovely big bath & very relaxed atmosphere. Bed super comfy and it’s so quiet there. Perfect for the downtime we wanted. Owner Matt very friendly & helpful. Food was amazing. The Inn is a really quaint lovely building and the staff all very attentive and friendly. Tongue in cheek the TV is a bit small for the size of the room but hey that’s not a big deal as we were only there for one night.

Had a very enjoyable couple of days in this delightful old pub in beautiful Hardy country. The bedrooms do not quite live up to their 'de luxe' billing, but they are spacious and very comfortable. Dinner was excellent as was the service. I would have liked an alternative to granola at breakfast but this was a minor issue . Overall, well worth a visit.

Das Brace of Pheasants lädt mit sehr schönem Zimmern zum Übernachten ein, das Lokal ist Recht klein, aber dafür ist Qualität der Küche und der Service um so größer. Sehr nettes Gastgeber. Das Frühstück ist britischer Standard aber alles frisch und lecker.

Wonderful birthday lunch with a party of 7 family and friends yesterday. The food was delicious - we chose mainly Sunday roasts - and the vegetables particularly well chosen and tasty (good colour scheme too). Great homemade puddings. A very friendly relaxed atmosphere there in the bar looking out onto the countryside. Thank you Brace Pheasants for helping to make my day such a happy one! Penny

Matt and Co. have got The Brace just perfect. Simply that. We had an evening meal, stayed the night and breakfast too. All were excellent. Great menu with really interesting choices and very well cooked indeed. The garden rooms are huge and very well looked after. Could not wish for more. Thanks to The Brace.
