Hotel Caravelas ★★★★
"Nice hotel, excellent quality/price, 5* service and comfort, very good breakfast, with a lot of variety and very good products. The only thing they could try to improve is the internet, which doesn't get a good signal in the rooms. On the rest floor (reception, breakfast room, bar, etc.) you get a good signal, but in the rooms the signal is very weak. But regardless of that, the hotel is very pleasant, as is its staff. I recommend it."
Azores Youth Hostels - Pico ★★
"Sometimes the staff were very kind and helpful, and other times they were rigid and rude. There is no kitchenette or refrigerator for guests' convenience. The dormitories are very small and the beds are noisy. Of the six beds, the two in the middle have no power outlet or light. No towels or soap are provided. The bathrooms are far from the dormitories. The toilets were running, and there was always water on the floor. It was slippery! There is no air conditioning, no fan, and the lockers don't have locks. You have to bring your own padlock. On a positive note, it was clean, and the architecture of this old building is beautiful."
Porto Velho Boutique Hostel ★★
"Coay and welcoming place with a nice and helpful Team! Very well located, clean and quiet:) very much recommended ....."
AL NOVAVISTA ★★★
"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."
Pico Dreams ★★★
"THis is a holiday complex in the village of Sao Roque on the island of Pico. My room was OK with an en suite and with shared kitchen facilities and a dining area just along the corridor. There is an outdoor pool but no 24-hour reception. I would not recommen attempting to stay here without car as the public transport is virtually non-exostent and there is little to do in the village itself."
Pico Vineyards - by Unlock Hotels ★★★★
"Exceptional location and setting. Severe lack of staff training for a hotel of this standard."
Vinhas do Calhau ★★★★
"Although far from Madalena and located in an area under construction (resort extension), more aparthotel than hotel), Vinhas do Calhau is a very friendly establishment like its very welcoming owner. A stone's throw from the seaside and a stone's throw from a developed beach, our apartment overlooking Pico, with kitchen and two independent bedrooms, one of which is on a mezzanine, was very well appointed and clean. Very comfortable bedding, large bathroom with shower and WC. We spent 4 very relaxing nights there. The only point to improve: the serving of breakfasts, which are also well supplied, on a shelf in the corridor leading to the room: the fresh products would benefit from being refrigerated. Warmly recommended. Be careful of the absence of restaurants nearby. A Continente supermarket 10 minutes away by car is very useful!! Another note: the scarcity of restaurants in"
Sara Village ★★★
"Let's be honest here. No air conditioning, which makes it very difficult to sleep. The room was dirty and stinky (humidity from the bathroom), with cockroache. Breakfast was supposed to be available for 10 euros, but the host himself admits he doesn't like/want to prepare it (too complicated...). The space available in the common fridge is really tiny (you can't store any proper food for cooking). And last, we couldn't take any shower in the early morning (before going to Mount Pico), as the water was cut at night...We give it 1 "star" only because 0 does not exist"
Alma do Pico - Nature Residence ★★★
"Super comfortable bed. My son says: "I like it because there are so many hiding spots." The nature is amazing, it surrounds you. This is why I gave this hotel 5 stars."
