Hotels in Bang Tao Beach, Phuket

The hotel is heavily tired. It probably was good once it has been built but now it doesn't look as good as shown in the photos. Our first room (1-3 photos) was a disaster. It had a door to the next room and there was a strong kind-of-sigarette smell coming through the door gap. It was impossible to stay there. And it also had hair all over the floor and the dirty spots almost everywhere. I had to ask for another room (4-9 photos). It didn't have that smell and was a little cleaner but not perfect as you can see on the photos. I also disliked both of the rooftop pools despite the fact that I am totally a pool guy and in some hotels I was the only one spending the whole time in a pool. They doesn't look that beautiful in real life with dirty tiles. Anyway the employees are kind and helpfull. The location is perfect if you don't mind walking - it takes 10-15 minutes to reach the beach or 5-10 minutes to reach the shopping area. The breakfast is 8/10 and lacked of plain and simple proteins like sausages in a few days. As a result, don't expect too much from the hotel. Maybe it used to be premium quality but now it's 6/10 at max.

Beautiful property, beachfront resort that keep up to the 5 stars level. Staffs were helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. Even though it is a 30+ yrs old resorts, the maintenance was excellent. Extremely happy with our stay. Highly recommended. Our room was facing the beach and we had the most beautiful sunset view here.

I just had a very bad experience here, I was in a rush for a flight and the checkout took almost 15 minutes. I explained my urgency to the the receptionist (Kit), and I was treated as if I was trying to runaway with their room amenities, like if I was going to steal some towels. Had to wait until they checked my room completely before giving me my deposit. The way she talked to me was surprisingly and unexpectedly rude. I travel a lot for work and I hardly ever leave bad hotel reviews, but this time was very unsettling and really made me finish this trip on a sad note. It was my fourth time in this hotel, but after this treatment, it’s going to be my last.

This hotel is perfect for families. They have 2 bedroom apartment type rooms, and the amenities are great, and there's more than enough activities on the property to do, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The beach is just a boat ride away, and the hotel has a paid shuttle to Patong and Central shopping mall, which makes traveling very convenient.

Very new resort! Big pool, pool with slides for kids, beach front sunbeds, beach club! The breakfast is nice. The room was clean & new, not very spacious but good enough for use. The only thing is there are still construction work, that some facilities may not be in use.

The Diamond Resort is in a bit of a remote area, but they offer shuttle services to areas of interest including Bang Tao beach, as well as the Boat Avenue shopping centre makes the place that much more attractive. Greeted by friendly front desk staff on arrival p with the welcome drinks on hand told us we were going to have a great time! They have concierge services and they responded timely to every request we had while staying there. Delicious restaurant food and buffet breakfast too that off with the happy hours by the pool added to the great time! The gym is small but sufficient for vacation time. Unbelievable sunsets wrap up the evenings. Definitely recommend this place for families.

From check in to check out, staff was warm, efficient & professional. The room was well equipped to details such as a coffee Maker, torchlight, umbrella…branded toiletries. The pool was scenic and clean.,Walk right onto a long beautiful beach. Sunset walks were amazing. Breakfast choice a bit limited for hot food but very healthy & whatever was offered was of high quality. Service was perfect for breakfast., High tea’s free to make up for renovation in progress., I was not disturbed at the Lagoon wing. Such a peaceful serene place. I highly recommend this hotel and keep it up!

The reception was slow in attending to our checking. rooms were dated although big. several areas not properly cleaned, like lamps. bed was terribly soft n old. desperately needs replacement. didn't expect this of an angsana hotel. we had just come from the racha where everything was impeccable, and price was similar to angsana. so comparison was very clear. killed a mossie in the room and there was blood on the floor, which was not cleaned for the remaining 2 nights we were there. disappointing with maintenance n upkeep. had to keep asking housekeeping for top up of mossie pads and essential oils for the burner.

Very convenient location, not far from the beach and the sea, 15 minutes walk. We rode a bike 3 minutes to the sea. Breakfasts are modest, but everything is there: omelette, sandwiches, vegetables, Thai cuisine, fruits. Cleaning every day. The room is large and spacious, comfortable balcony overlooking the pool. Construction nearby, but does not interfere. There are cafes nearby, 15 minutes walk to Port Pattaya. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff is very friendly, if they can, they will be happy to help. The room with a kitchen is very spacious, with a large balcony and a bathroom on it. The view from the window was a bit unlucky, but since the hotel was chosen as a travel pass, it is not so bad. A very big minus is the ants, and since we were with a child, this was a problem, she is afraid of them. They could not change the room, everything was occupied, but they immediately came to exterminate the ants, however, the next day there were a lot of them everywhere again, in the kitchen, on the floor, on the table, but most importantly, they were not on the bed. In the morning we saw that someone's unfinished coffee was in the coffee pot, and the cutlery was all in dried food, but this is not scary for us. Therefore, if not for the ants, then an excellent hotel, suitable for 1-2 days.
