Pros- The guest services at this hotel were wonderful. I arrived amidst the NYE chaos, and was welcomed with a cool, jasmine scented towel and crisp, cold water, which I definitely appreciated. Everyone was kind and helpful, the rooms are cleaned super efficiently and thoroughly, and the hall floors were so sparkling clean I swear I could use them as a mirror to reapply my lipstick.
The bed was large and comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure.
The rooftop pool was a sweet oasis with a gorgeous view of the beach with a bar for all of your beverage needs.
Cons- the location is extremely loud, directly in the middle of the party. If you’re under 30, or if you don’t have any trouble falling asleep behind the DJ booth at a rave, you’ll be right at home. The beach club next door starts bumping at 2pm and doesn’t stop until around 3-4 am. No kidding.
Not to mention the street noise from the street- tuk-tuks with a full-on club in the back, honking, yelling and loud drunken conversations. It’s all very jovial, but extremely noisy.
I wore noise cancellation headphones every night.
But it’s right across the street from the beach, near several night markets, and you are only a whisper away from every kind of transit you could possibly need.
Overall, this place is well worth the money if you’re looking for a clean, central location as a jumping off point for your adventures, and don’t mind a little chaos or sleeping with earplugs.
