Sonder the Queen

Really neat building, awesome location, and comfy room. It is a nice place to stay but if you're a higher maintenance traveler, maybe try a more conventional hotel. There is no reception desk (and we didn't one and we thought it was a super seamless experience without the reception) so if you commonly seek additional service, it might not be the right style for you. It actually feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel. The other guests seemed happy too. There is one room that is awkwardly in the busy stairwell (201) so I imagine that one could get noisy. But we started in 210 and it was quiet.

This was my first visit to a Sonder property and definitely will make this a habit. Clean, comfortable and efficient. This no-frills option had ALL the basics, very clean, and service via their app was great. It was easy to make myself at home.

Great first time experience at Sonder. Our room was clean and looked as advertised. Instructions we clear and easy to use. We really love this concept - great value. Only complaint is that we didn't receive a text back about a question we had.

Took a solo trip to Philly for a concert. Room was in a great location, with plenty of eyes and lights - so felt really safe. The check in code was sent to my phone before arrival along with instructions, which made the process easy. Room had a great view and made the trip fun!

I absolutely loved this place! Such a cute room, the bathroom was very nice and it was so easy to check in. There’s so many shops and places to eat, we were waking around for awhile just exploring and looking at the art, the parking was a bit difficult but other than that it was amazing.

The whole process and stay was very nice. The facility was modern without feeling cold. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. We already had dining plans but the restaurant there appeared very inviting. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

I love this area of Philadelphia, as someone who has lived in the Queen Village neighborhood for several years before my trip back to visit. There's so much to do and see, and it's all very walkable. The restaurants nearby are especially fantastic and worth a visit; they're most of my favorite places to eat in Philly. The Sonder building was clean and modern-- one of the key pads to get into the stairwell wasn't working, but instructions were clearly posted by the door with who to contact, and they were helpful and friendly. The room itself was clean, simple, and charming. I loved the touch of having a record player with some jazz records available to listen to... such a cute idea that made me feel more comfortable. Overall, it's a great price and a hassle free way to stay in an underrated part of the city. I'd definitely recommend it and come back next time I'm visiting family and friends.
