Great location for walking in the city. Wonderful neighborhood to explore. Great restaurant options near the inn. It was great to be so near a convenience store and a CVS.

The Alexander is a charming hotel in a wonderful location!! Walking distance of restaurants, harbor, history art etc. The staff is warm and very accommodating.!! An unexpected perk is a daily free happy hour for guests from 5 to 730 including wine and a variety of tasty treats. The host is Ledwin, a young staff member with a sweet smile and personality who made our visit even more special.!!

Very charming hotel, very friendly staffel and good ideas (surprising breakfast, afternoon wine time). Not the newest interior, but clean und well located.

Perfectly located in the historic center, all places of interest reachable by foot. Very nice place and the rooms are lovely. Great staff, helpful and friendly support regarding all questions. Selina is the best!!! Thanks for your super recommendations.

Wonderul personality and efficient with accommodating me in my time of need with husband in the hospital securing extra nights for my stay. Plus the Inn is very special and offers so many amenities. Location is key and some nice restaurants in the area. Walking all over is safe and attractive. Loved the socials!

I loved this hotel so much I didn't want to go out and explore. The Alexander is a 1920s style refurbished boutique hotel. It has charm, panache and soul. I'm a solo traveller and this hotel was perfect. The staff were attentive, especially Jay and the lady who assisted me with a bag of ice when I sprained my ankle. The hotel is scrupulously clean, the continential breakfast adequate to start the day. Everything is close. Lots of cafes, restaurants, theatres and clubs and retail stores within easy walking distance. I loved this hotel but it may not be for everybody. If you like flashy, soulless accommodation, the Alexander Inn is not for you. Public transport is in abundance. There is a convenience store on the opposite corner and two great delis within two minutes walking distance. I loved this hotel.

Old with uneven floors and generally outdated, as the room was small with bathroom outdated & tiny. Situated in a Nice quiet neighborhood & well located for restaurants. Staff was pleasant and there is a nice happy hour with wine & cheese. Don’t wish to repeat a stay but wasn’t horrible for one night.

What a charming space. A lovely neighborhood, and very nice treats at breakfast and happy hour. My room was just right. Gotta love wooden blinds. Got some amazing pictures that perfectly characterized my stay. But the stand out was the front desk staff: Jay. From the second I walked in the door, to the hug I requested when I left, he was “Johnny on the spot” for anything I needed and a warm, funny person that made me feel safe and at home (solo woman traveler).
