Petropolis Hotels with Gym

Built in 1930, the hotel was reopened in 2011 after a 45 year hiatus. It's like the golden age of glamour in the lobby. Checked in promptly despite turning up 2 hours before the 3pm check in, which was very much appreciated. We were a party of 4, 2 rooms. Both rooms identical….spacious, clean, quality linens, VERY comfy bed, effective A/C unit (saving grace since it was 34C outside being summertime). Fast WiFi though a little annoying to have to login every few hours (I thought hotels had abolished this way of logging in a decade ago). Shower had excellent pressure (there's a clasp to alter the angle of the showerhead). We came by car and there's free parking with valet service which is very helpful and also very cheerful valet man who helped us with our bags too. Nice touch! Breakfast was simple and not anything to write home about though that is typical in Brazil. We're not really breakfast folk but enjoyed the coffee as a pick-me-up with a slice of toast and jam. I'd recommend to couples, folk on business and families alike, whether for an overnight stay or longer - has everything you would want and need. The Hotel is situated in the heart of Petropolis' historic centre so can walk everywhere within the historic town. Overall can only but give the hotel 5* and would certainly stay again if ever in the lovely town that is Petropolis. To the staff at Grande Hotel, keep up the great work!

The hotel, although a little outside the centre of Petrópolis, is located in a high location with a beautiful panoramic view of the Gourmet polo Valparaiso, which is attractive because there are various gastronomic options in the region, with excellent bistros and nearby restaurants, including with delivery option at the hotel. The architecture of the hotel, built in metal structure, gives a light and modern view, with special emphasis on the large glassed façade, the interior panoramic elevator that runs all the huge right foot of the central hall and the restaurant, Where you can take the great breakfast served in the hotel, with a panoramic view of the valley. The accommodation is comfortable and clean, with excellent beds, good hot shower, hair dryer, supplied fridge, cable TV, wi-fi and a good set of facilities available. It is not a luxury hotel but it is modern, pleasant, quiet and functional. My wife and I have been very well-served in everything and we will probably be hosting again there. We recommend!

… a equipe de limpeza interna do Casarão precisa de novo treinamento: poeira e lixo acumulados embaixo das camas, teias de aranha em lustre e janelas. Quanto ao resto, só elogios, embora as toalhas de banho pudessem ser melhores. Excelente localização na Av Koeler, vizinho a vários casarões e palácios da época do Império. Jardim lindíssimo e muito bem cuidado. Excelente restaurante para todas as refeições (o buffet do café da manhã não é farto, porém suficiente, de alta qualidade e tem um complemento à la carte com pratos quentes) e boa carta de vinhos, com preços módicos. Tem piscina externa, interna (esta é climatizada), sauna, local para massagem e esteiras para a prática de exercícios. Escolha um apartamento mais para o fundo do casarão principal, de preferência no segundo andar, e com vista para o jardim do lago. Evite as suítes 01, 02 e 03 por barulho proveniente do andar superior, da rua e da Dispensa Material de Limpeza. O ponto alto do hotel é a equipe da Recepção, que nos atendeu muito bem e do Restaurante, com um destaque especial para a Gisele. E a beleza do lugar. We had originally booked to stay at the sister property Locanda Bela Vista. however they messaged a few days before our stay to say they had a birthday party on the night we had booked and it was likely to be noisy so would we accept an upgrade to the Locanda della Mimosa - obviously we said yes. I think this indicates that their service level is high. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything required. The pool was long enough to swim which is always a plus. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable (if short) stay.

O serviço do hotel para um resort é horrível. Não te ajudam com as bagagens. As instalacões estão precisando de manutenção. Vários ares-condicionados não funcionam. Além disso, os quartos estavam com o chão sujo e o banheiro mal lavado. Não dava para pisar descalço. Nos quartos com varanda, as varandas não são limpas. Cheguei com meu noivo e o ar-condiconado não estava funcionando. Os dias que fomos estavam quentes. Após 6h de viagem, descemos após a constação solicitando a troca, a atendente teve a coragem de nos falar, sem sequer nos acomodarmos para irmos fazer outras coisas e que iria ver depois. Eu decidi esperar colada na recepção, e após quase 1h nos trocaram de quarto. Ainda, ela estava duvidando de que o ar não estivesse funcionando. Eles lhe atendem como se tivessem fazendo um favor. A noite, descobrimos que a avó do meu noivo que já tem a saúde fragilidade e dificuldade de locomoção estava também em um quarto sem ar condicionado com duas crianças. Por ela ser idosa, pediram para ela esperar, como havia feito conosco, ficamos sabendo disso somente de madrugada. A troca só ocorreu quando meu noivo quase 2h da madrugada, com o clima quente e vários mosquitos foi bravo solicitar a troca. Isso foi um absurdo, uma idosa e duas crianças sem ar-condicionado no calor e com vários mosquitos. O café da manhã é OK. Os ovos mexidos estavam ruins, azedos. Não há nenhuma atividade inclusa nas diárias, tudo é pago a parte. O resort não possui câmeras, o que é bem preocupante. Nisso, a calota do carro do meu noivo foi furtada dentro do resort. Não conseguimos nem sequer pedir para olhar as câmeras ou algo assim, para eles lá é tudo muito cômodo. O cardápio do restaurante é extremamente caro para o que servem. Um prato de macarronada simples para uma pessoa é quase R$70. Não tem variedade, muito limitado e servem comida simples por preços absurdos. A diária varia de R$750 a R$1.200. Os quartos triplos superiores possuem buracos na proteção da sacada. Não tem como se hospedar com crianças nesses quartos, apenas no térreo que é mais sujo ainda. Eles vendem algo por meio das redes sociais que não existe. O meu maior alerta é cuidado com suas crianças no resort, com seus pertences e com seus carros, pois não há câmeras em nenhum lugar sem ser no portão de entrada do resort que fica lá na rodovia, que provavelmente nem funciona de tão antiga. Não voltaremos a nos hospedar nesse resort.
