Locanda Al Castello

There are several aspects that struck me positively about the Locanda al Castello, starting first of all with the welcome and professionalism of Mrs. Maria and her husband Massimo, the staff always friendly and helpful and ready to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are welcoming, clean and well furnished with a breathtaking sea view. As for the location, it is very strategic as it is located in the historic center of Peschici and 5 minutes (on foot) from the sea. Another strong point of the structure is the breakfast, which offers a wide range of products (including local) to satisfy all tastes. Finally, the restaurant offers a varied and very tasty cuisine, we tried the troccoli allo scoglio and the grilled swordfish and we were extremely satisfied; the troccoli allo scoglio were excellent: well seasoned, well cooked and full of very fresh seafood, the same goes for the swordfish, cooked to perfection, very juicy and tasty. I highly recommend this structure to anyone who wants to experience a stay dedicated to relaxation and comfort, in one of the most suggestive locations in the Gargano.

Saturday night, with a group of friends we decided to eat a pizza in this place located on one side of the square that runs alongside the castle, a really nice location, also pleasantly breezy, despite the muggy evening. We had booked for 9:00 pm. At 9:25 pm we ordered our pizzas and while we waited (we had been told we would have to wait about 35 minutes) we had portions of chips and croquettes brought to us. After about an hour, not even a shadow of our pizzas. Basically, after a polite complaint, the first pizza, of 10, was served to us at 10:55 pm. The last one was served about a quarter of an hour later. The strange thing was that the place was full, but not crowded and among other things, at most of the tables no pizzas were being consumed. Also, the waiters didn't seem to be serving the tables at a frenetic pace, in fact most of the time they left without serving dishes, but wandered around the tables in a bewildered way. Now I understand that it was Saturday, but an hour and a half wait for a pizza, having booked, seems excessive to me! Too bad, because the place is nice and the pizza is really good, I think that what is lacking is a good organization, considering that when it was time to pay the bill I learned that they also did take-away. I don't think I'll go back and in any case not on a Saturday!

Sono ritornata dopo due anni e non posso che riconfermare tutte le impressioni positive su questo posto magico e su chi lo gestisce .Maria, una padrona di casa come poche,gentile e sempre disponibile. Un ringraziamento va anche al suo caro papà Luigi, a suo marito Massimo e a Giovanna.Una settimana da sogno. Grazie di cuore a tutti voi. A prestissimo!

Peschici bellissima, la Locanda al Castello situata in una posizione eccellente, molto pulito, colazione ottima e Maria, la proprietaria, persona di grande simpatia e di ospitalità unica. Da andarci sempre. Simonetta

Al ristorante della Locanda al Castello, si mangia piuttosto bene. La qualità dei piatti tradizionali può dirsi genericamente adeguata ma nulla di più. I prezzi sono gonfiati ma è costume in quel di Pestici (località che sa come depauperare il malcapitato turista). Il servizio, però, è scarsissimo. I camerieri, giovanissimi (alcuni perfino adolescenti), non hanno la minima nozione non dirò dell'hôtellerie (ché queste ormai sono pretese da pedanti); ma della più ordinaria buona creanza. Manco a dirlo: non sanno prendere un'ordinazione, servire e sparecchiare; tutto è improvvisato e raffazzonato in modo imbarazzante e irritante. Ma come dicevo: transeat. Se non fosse che sciabattano in giro con muso imbronciato e aria maldisposta; discutono davanti ai clienti e dei clienti, li additano perfino; e si rivolgono agli sventurati avventori con una noncuranza disarmante. Parrebbe addirittura che ritengano il cliente una seccatura. Probabilmente per il nonnetto proprietario è più economico ingaggiare i nipotini e i loro amichetti come camerieri che del personale specializzato. Ma ciò non giustifica in alcun modo la maleducazione e la sciatteria sfrontate.

La struttura non recente ma le stanze sono spaziose e pulite, il personale è molto gentile e la titolare è molto simpatica. La posizione è presso il belvedere in centro storico a Peschici. La vista dal balcone della camera è spettacolare.

Posizione bellissima nel centro vecchio di Peschici... Raggiungibile a piedi data la stradina molto piccola e piena di gente che passeggia x negozietti... E l'impossibilità di parcheggiare l'auto. Ristorante medio pure il servizio......

Prezzi alle stelle. Abbiamo voluto provare un tagliere con 2 calici di vino che il locale proponeva con tanto di cartellonistica. Ci hanno versato del vino da una bottiglia aperta nei calici, quando è arrivato il tagliere ci siamo accorti di non avere le posate, le chiediamo e ci viene risposto per il tagliere non sono previste le posate, se vi occorrono c'è un costo aggiuntivo. Le chiediamo ma non ci vengono portati i tovaglioli, sdegnati siamo andati via. Siamo di Foggia e mi vergogno che ai turisti venga riconosciuta un attenzione del genere, mi sembra ovvio che i turisti non tornano, non ci torneremo più neanche noi.

4 giu 2022... Ora di cena... Chiedo in giro per il paese dove andare a cena... Consigliano questo locale. Arrivati al tavolo accolti da una bambina poi da un ragazzo che non sapeva cosa fare... Volevamo un tagliere di terra ed uno di mare... La scortesia della signora non so come si chiama per poco non ci fa alzare ed andare via... Arriva il tagliere di terra... Tutto ok... Quello di mare... Solo frutti e piccole porzioni di pesce tutto rigorosamente crudo da condire con limone... Mangiato neanche la metà... Avevamo in mente un altro tipo di tagliere... Ci siamo sbagliati. E per mangiare qualcosa abbiamo dovuto ordinare un secondo tagliere di terra... Abbiamo speso 52 € e ce ne siamo andati con la fame... Niente da ridire sulla location... Il servizio lascia molto a desiderare... E alcuni piatti pure... Lasciate perdere!!!
