Hotel Il Castellaccio

We stayed at the Castle for a weekend, enjoying a Smartbox package that was given to us. The hotel is in a wonderful location, with a crazy view of the shadow hills, breakfast and dinner on the terrace with that view have stayed in the heart. Excellent kitchen, for those who have a Smartbox like us there is a dedicated menu, but if you want to dine on the map the hotel gives you the opportunity to do it by climbing the cost of the coffin dinner. The Lady at the reception is very kind and sympathetic, prepared, available and ready with the joke! If we get back from those parts we will surely return. That's very advisable!

Perugia Plaza Hotel

We really loved this hotel. It has a traditional hotel feel to it, with very friendly helpful staff. We started mid July and it was very quiet, so this review may reflect that as we had the run of the pool and services due to low residency. It is situated outside of the main old town centre and of you arrive without a car as we were you will need to be of moderate fitness to walk in to the town centre as it’s a steep walk up, however there is an escalator for part of the way. I would recommend visiting the Marmore falls which you can get to from Perugia station direct via Terni. Once at terni it’s a short ride on the bus. This I would say is best to arrive early for, and spend the entire day there! Also Assisi and Solleto are two other Umbrian towns on the same train line we’ll worry a visit. Travel costs are very reasonable. Overall a great place to visit, and the Perugia hotel is a lovely place to stay. Bear in mind a bus is best to catch from the station to the hotel, as when you arrive with your luggage the pavements are in very poor condition to cart a suitcase along.
Hotel Priori Secret Garden

Old Town
If I could give 4.5 I would as there was so much I really liked about this hotel. We came a group of 16 of us and they were very accommodating to the group. The location is ideal a stone throw from all the sites in Perugia and down a lovely side street. The little secret garden where you can have drinks and food is lovely. The rooms were fun as different with interiors and ours the suite had a great view from the bathroom window all over Perugia. A few little things that did not quite get the 5 - I asked for extra toilet roll when I arrived and i had to re ask twice. We were a family of 4 yet only 2 towels were provided. It was hot in the room and that was because they control the air conditioning so you have to ask them to switch it on would have been useful to know that in advance. The service for drinks in the bar was slow and the breakfast I thought could have a few more savoury items. However, all the staff were very lovely and I highly rated the hotel and everyone in our group enjoyed it. If I was staying in Perugia again I would stay here.
