Love the location, the views from the hotel & dining room. The restaurant was good, young inexperienced staff that very very nice but a little clumsy.
Checkin receptionist was very curt, but check out person the following day was lovely.
All in all, loved staying here again.

Lovely hotel, staff welcoming and helpful. Nice view from bedroom. Bed and pillows comfortable. Wouldn't think you where so close to the M6 . Booked dinner in restaurant well presented local produce. Breakfast plenty of choice and local produce.

Didn’t know what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. Especially as this is at a motorway service station. Good service with very friendly staff. Room was a good size well equipped and with great views of the moorland, with no motorway noice. Excellent meal in the hotel restaurant, great menu choice, with all food very well cooked. This is a definite great stop over point if travelling north. And we will use it again.

Just a one night stay but we loved it. Hotel was spotless and comfortable, the staff were excellent and friendly. Food at the restaurant was superb. We had just travelled from a luxury hotel in Scotland and frankly found the Westmorland Hotel much nicer, cosier and with better food. For the price, the quality at the Westmorland is incredibly good value. We will definitely be back again.

This hotel is just by Tebay services. It’s a nice quiet location. The rooms are lovely and clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. They use local companies too. The shower gel was from a local company and I liked it so much I bought some. I’d recommend walking around at sunrise and sunset as the skies are pretty. Breakfast was lovely. The hot food is made to order.
