Nice and wonderful hotel. Very good for family trip with nice swimming pool and gym room provided. Just the room was a bit small. Other than that, all were good.

Lovely hotel on the side, with nice decor and facilities. Cleanliness is usually 100% but on this rare occasion the room hadn’t been properly checked.

We recently had our wedding at North Lakes Hotel and from the start of planning the the actual day we couldn’t have asked for any more. Jen the wedding planner is amazing from start to finish she did everything she could to ensure our big day was just how we wanted it! We had the Little Martindale for our ceremony and wedding breakfast this is lovely intimate room with light clad beams for up 26 people and made the perfect setting for us to get married and have our wedding breakfast Jen and her team made it perfect along with a few local suppliers. We then had our evening reception of around 95 guests in the Cross Fell Suit this is a function room but again Jen and her team worked their magic and transformed it with ceiling drapes, up lighters and a star curtain backdrop it was all perfect. All the food we had was all amazing all cooked lovely and all really tasty it was clean plates all round compliments to the kitchen staff! We had the wedding suit to stay the night in which was clean and comfortable a little dated which we knew upon booking our wedding they are currently updating the rooms just hadn’t got to the wedding suit yet. The breakfast the next morning was 1st class all cooked fresh to order and one the best breakfast I have had. All in all we had an amazing weekend Jen the wedding planner really is an asset to the Hotel she went above and beyond in many ways. We highly recommend the North Lakes as a wedding venue.

Treated to Sunday lunch, menue was not vast but catered for all types. My friend asked for something off the menue which was accommodated for. We both had the two course lunch. I had mozzarella salad and salmon. Both very nice. Staff were friendly. Had coffee overlooking the grounds.

Was really disappointed heard so much about this place and really wanted to take my family as we went out for a evening meal staff extremely rude there was this one nonprofessional lady called Amy that was very rude and very unprofessional. The rest of the staff looked like they just left school and was very shy to speak which is fine just when you’re asking questions questions you would like them to be answered Will not be visiting back very disappointed

My Daughter & I used the leisure facilities as we are members at there sister hotel in Leeds, we can use there facilities on our membership which is great. The spa reception staff are so welcoming and polite and a credit to the hotel. The swimming pool area is lovely and very clean. Look forward to visiting again when we are next in the area.

Staff are helpful. Swimming pool is lovely. The location is excellent, just off the motorway but within easy reach of the lakes. The foyer is a pleasant place to sit. It all looks very swish and modern. However, there are some serious design flaws, not to mention some legal issues. There are NO disabled parking spaces! Our room was on two levels, constituting a trip hazard. The change in level is not clearly marked. I tripped on it carrying a full kettle and spilled the water on the duvet! Lucky I didn’t have a sprained ankle. Not suitable for children, the elderly, and just about anyone. The WHB was far too shallow, meaning water splashed everywhere. No grip on the floor of the shower. I think the comfort and convenience of guests was sacrificed for glamorous looks. And seriously, when you pay hundreds for your room, you expect not to be charges another £18 for the bottle of supposedly ‘artisan’ shampoo! Nor do you expect having paid £19 for breakfast to be asked to pay £5 extra for hash browns!
