Premier Inn Bridgend (M4, J35)

Premier inn used to be the gold standard in budget hotels. Good pillows & mattress, clean and comfortable. But they seem to have rested on their laurels for so many years the mattresses now need replacing and the decor is tired and shabby. There was a time when they brought in new menus in the restaurants but they seem to have gone back to the usual microwave curry, pizza or other fast food type unhealthy ready meals or grills. I wouldn’t mind if the prices were in the budget category but the prices don’t reflect the budget standard of accommodation on offer. The reason for giving three stars instead of two is the staff here. They couldn’t be more friendly and helpful.

Stayed here two nights as we have friends that live close by. Friendly welcome, but system was down which didn’t help the lady but check in was still a smooth process. Our room was on the first floor which was fine. Our room was spotlessly clean, & lovely & warm. Clean kettle with cups & tea & coffee, extra if needed in reception. Bed was so clean & comfortable:) Bathroom clean & lovely hot water . Never heard a sound in the night & wasn’t disturbed at all. Receptionist ( not sure of her name ) Very helpful, helped us choose an excellent Indian restaurant in Bridgend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ food was amazing (Ashoka tandoori) And taxi from Kwik Cabs, cards on the reception was only £12 Definitely recommend & we would go back. Only one grip if any. We had a knock at the door at 8ish in the morning ( we were awake ) to move our car as the delivery lorry couldn’t get through. Taking to the lorry driver & he said it’s an ongoing problem, maybe it would be a good idea to close off this space as the lorry has to bump the kerb to get a lock on. So don’t park in the space in the picture I will post . Apart from that 10/10

Stayed the night with my partner for birthday celebrations. Excellent place to stay. Friendly service food 10 out of 10 & worth every penny. Good stay lovely service will return in future. Heavenly nights sleep clean & comfortable night real quality & value for money.

Lovely overnight stay at the hotel wasn’t expecting anything fancy as it’s on the side of a motorway but hotel was excellent and would definitely stay there again, staff were excellent really helpful and friendly room was great, large comfy bed and had a great nights sleep

A night's stay the Premier Inn, just off the motorway so great location, was a late check-in so wasn't expecting much of a welcome however the reception was lovely and friendly. Good size room, clean and very comfortable. Great choice at breakfast and good service.

I am very dissapointed with your last service because the manager said me to immediately evacuate the hotel at 12 PM.The manager not give me a single minute to stay in the hotel.Also he noted (written in a paper) my card credit number without any reason.
