"We stayed for a week at Hotel Montecallini and cannot recommend this place highly enough. It was a great location to base ourselves and explore the Lecce province of Puglia - hire car (or scooter) is a must in this location. The hotel is spotless, well maintained and big enough to provide what you need but small enough to be friendly, welcoming and cosy. The room we had was perfect and clean, everything worked and was routinely serviced each day by lovely, friendly staff. The pool and grounds were fabulous and we enjoyed hanging around the hotel as much as we enjoyed our trips out and exploring. But what really makes this adults only hotel special are the exceptional staff, who really go out of their way to make you feel at home, ensure you have everything you need and seem really pleased to offer recommendations or help with local restaurant and hire car booking. The reception team are particularly impressive and especially Giulio, such a warm, caring and friendly host who - despite being busy - always found time to help. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Puglia!"

"Have just woken up to the beautiful monastic ceiling in room Vento. The sisters have achieved the holy grail of hospitality; 5 star service but delivered as if in their home. Beautiful pool area which becomes a fairy grotto at night. Stunning sunsets . Very good inexpensive restaurants a 10-15 mins walk away. Stunning coastline , a 10 min drive . The lemon and ginger homemade jam is worth the visit alone. Very good value for money but more than that. A magical place, we don’t want to leave . It is rare to leave a review while still in situ but just couldn’t resist . Highly recommended "

"We spent three nights in this location a few km from Patu' and near the beaches (to reach by car). But the surplus is given by the owners Alberto and Teresa who with their welcome and simplicity made us feel at home. And what about the delicious apple cake made by Teresa ...bunissimaaaaa. The room was very comfortable with the possibility of using the kitchen in common, even if we had only a freezer because the mini was very little cooling."
