Hotels Near Boyd's Tobacco & Elegant Gifts in Paso Robles

This is a relatively modern and very clean property; we had a family room which included a small kitchen area and sofa as well as two good sized beds. We could not fault the room or the quality of service, and the included breakfast was great for the price. The only things that detracted from our stay were (1) some very loud neighbours after the state fair and (2) our disappointment that Paso Robles itself was not quite as interesting as the marketing had led us to expect but neither of these were things that Holiday Inn could control. We were on a US West Coast road trip and this was to break up our journey from Carmel to Santa Barbara. If we do a similar trip in future we’ll stay in Morro Bay instead.

This past weekend, our family decided to take a last, little, weekend vacation. Our decision turned out to be an exciting opportunity to relax and discover a little more about our beautiful state. BestWestern Plus Black Oak in Paso Robles, CA turned out to be a great addition to our adventure. From the very welcoming and friendly staff note to wish us great staff to the cool pool and comfortable beds, staying here made us feel welcome, secure, and wanting to return soon. Thank you very much for your dedication to making sure we had a memorable time.

Clean Hotel, Great Breakfast, Overall good stay. Only issue was that my tv was not working in my room and my tub wasn’t able to stay clogged, the water drained. I mentioned it to the front desk staff and they were aware of it, Manuel was really helpful and was very kind and generous to help me move my items to my room since I am disabled. He went up and tried to work the things out and I ended up getting a different room. Very happy with this stay and will be back in September!

We booked 6 months prior for a girls trip for 1 week. 4 of us for our 60th birthday. We requested two rooms next to one another or at least close. You failed miserably and I’m so disappointed. After many visits, I brought my entire friend group for a 60th birthday celebration for the 4 of us. Our only request, rooms next to one another or close. You assigned us rooms not nearly close and on different floors. We stayed for a week!!! I have brought my family and friends to enjoy your resort on several occasions and I will no longer promote your resort. You embarrassed me and impacted the enjoyment of our trip. You have a great product. Get it together!!! You’re a high dollar organization. You should be able to accommodate a simple request. Or…say you cant!!! You have lost a loyal customer Ayer’s. Date Arrived: Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 Date Checked Out: Sunday, July 23rd, 2023 Time Arrived: around 11:45pm Time Checked Out: around 11am Room Type: 1 King Bed Nonsmoking Room Number: 306 The hubby and I were meeting up some friends for the weekend in Paso Robles. Since I had to wait until he got off work, we arrived rather late. Ended up using the digital key thing thru the app. In the morning, I asked for a real key for the hubs since he doesn't have the app on his phone. We picked up some fast food on the way down, so basically just ate and slept. There was a table with enough room for all our food. (We get a fair amount of fast food for the two of us.) In the morning, I checked out the breakfast and grabbed some coffee. They had a decent spread - omelets, turkey sausage, hash browns, muffins, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, waffle station, etc. We had planned on going to Justin on Sunday, so I picked his hotel due to the proximity and my Hilton loyalty program. Used 60k points. Otherwise, I think that night was going for like $400 something. I am Diamond status, but wasn't upgraded or anything. Not sure if they would have upgraded me anyways, but we didn't check in with a person. Just thru the app and headed straight to the room with the digital key. Fine hotel if staying in Paso. Bed was comfy. Room was clean. What I expected for a Hampton Inn. Plus, the breakfast seemed a little better than other Hamptons I've been to.

Great bang for the buck. Large, clean room with fireplace; great shower; fairly quiet (and we were right off the lobby next to the restaurant). Plenty of parking. Very convenient after visiting westside wineries. Easily one of our favorite stays in Paso.

On the first night, Highway 1 lived in the town of Carmel, and the second night was chosen here. It is 40+ minutes drive from San Simeon. The hotel is located at US101. Compared with the hotel on Highway 1, it is very cost-effective and the quality of Marriott's hotels is guaranteed. From here to the Danish town about 1 hour drive. The overall feeling is very convenient. Breakfast is quite rich in the United States. Free parking. The room is large and the bed is large.

The location is good, the bathroom has a jacuzzi, the room is quite big but the decoration is general, the Christmas holiday restaurant is closed, the surrounding is the same, relatively speaking, the price is low, family travel is not recommended.

Nice modern newer hotel in Atascadero, convenient for visiting Paso Robles, Morro Bay, SLO and Avila Beach (as long as you have a car). Minutes from the 101. PROS: Plenty of free parking, well lit. Modern, clean, newer hotel with up-to-date decor. Friendly front-desk person. Pool, gym, business center and breakfast included. Nice spacious breakfast area. Wall Street Journal available in lobby. Quiet stay until our last night when we had to call the front desk twice when a rabble of people were being very loud on our floor after 'Quiet Hours'. Vending machines and small shop with essentials available downstairs. CONS: I was not impressed that they don't offer housekeeping/a room refresh unless you're staying more than 5 days, although there was the option to ask for new towels at the front desk. When you're paying around the $200/night mark, you expect to come back at the end of a busy day to have at least your bed made and the room refreshed. I was told that 'People like the fact nobody enters the room while they're gone'. While this is one advantage, this is basically post-Covid corporate greed speak for 'It's a good excuse to not spend money and hire people to clean and make back some money we lost'. If I don't get my room cleaned, I might as well rent a room in someone's house through an on-line app. Breakfast food was your typical hotel chain buffet with sugary yogurts, cheap breads/bagels, rubbery eggs, brown spotted bananas, etc. When are hotels going to start offering more quality food? At least it's something to put in your belly before you go out for the day and you don't have to traipse the streets looking for breakfast. All-day coffee and tea in the lobby would be a nice touch like some other chains offer. I found the bathroom dimly lit, despite a light around the mirror.
