Although the floor in my room was a bit dusty, the location is very convenient—just a few minutes’ walk to the mall, and the bus terminal is directly opposite the hotel. "We love Nustar so much! This is probably our 5th time here! Stayed here from Nov 5 to 7 as it’s Mine and my bros bday and it was after Typhoon Tino. As always they are very accomodating, friendly and helpful and gave me a piece of cake and fruit bowl but this time I ask for a happy birthday note on the monitor for background pic for me & entire family as celebration but they keep telling me they will send someone up but no one really came from the IT department . I did expect a happy birthday greeting on the monitor it would have been very special, but I understand as maybe they are so busy and under staff because of the typhoon and instead of 2 pm check and we were able to check in very late like 5:30 pm because they’re probably under staffs but all of these did not ruin our overall stay as new star staffs are all very welcoming. We had birthday dinner in the good luck hotpot which is just inside Nustar as well. Thank you Nustar for being very welcoming , friendly and hand on chest when Greeting guest is such a Nustar trademark  please trade me a guest feel welcome and at home"

"The room was clean, and the location was convenient, right next to a Chinese church. The breakfast was fantastic! The staff were all very welcoming. The rooftop pool was clean, had attentive service, provided towels, and you could even order food there. SM Big Mall is definitely worth a visit!"

"Booked last November for two double non-smoking rooms for our family of four.
The rooms were decent and offered ample space for two people to move around comfortably. The walls were well soundproofed and we did not hear any noise from neighboring rooms. Even though we were located right beside the elevators, there was no noticeable disturbance. The alarm system was also functioning properly, as it was triggered during our last night’s stay.
Water pressure in the bathroom was good, with no issues at all. Housekeeping provided fresh towels, toothbrushes, bottled water, and tissues daily, which we appreciated even though there was a supermarket right below the property.
The daily breakfast buffet was enjoyable. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, and the viands changed each day, which kept the selection interesting.
There were no issues with elevator wait times, as there were around six elevators available. Two provided access to the mall and two to the ground floor entrance.
We also used the laundry room on our last night and noticed that there were plenty of washing machines available. The massage service was good as well.
Most importantly, we appreciated the staff. They were attentive and accommodating, catering to almost all of our requests and even providing a storage box when we asked for one.
Overall, it was a good stay, aside from the location. We would definitely book again."

"I like the room, but I don’t really like the bathroom especially the bathtub. There seems to be some mold or dirt stuck on the mat-like lining, and the shower doesn’t have any labels indicating which is hot or cold. It’s disappointing because this is a 4-star hotel. Even the amenities, like the bottled water, are only 350 ml, which doesn’t feel worth the price we paid for the room.
The bathroom really needs improvement because that’s one of the first things guests usually look at. We originally booked a Superior room, but they upgraded us to a Deluxe room. However, I’m still disappointed with that aspect because based on the booking, I actually preferred the Superior room I originally reserved it seemed better than the Deluxe room we were given."

"I would like to commend all the staffs from the hotel’s breakfast buffet area. They were so accommodating and ready to assist without a need to be prompted. Was just a bit disappointed at time of check-in when asked if early check-in was possible. Not because that the room wasn’t ready yet but it’s because of the Receptionist’s (Rhea-wearing eye glasses) approach and responses to the said request. "The Best stay we had as family! We got the room with Queen Size Bed and bunker bed. The bathroom tends to flood though but everything is good! Hot and Cold service water is available in the hallway. We got a nice view from our window!"

The hotel needs a serious upgrade in nearly everything. I nearly paid 500 € per night and received an old room without any additional benefits. A Hairdryer needs to be requested. The Eqipment for snorkling is from the poorest quality and the glasses for complementary water at the pool have seen better days 10 years ago.
All in all a nice hotel, but the staff can´t make up for the shear lack of investment.
I am not disappointed because I have had a nice time, but everywhere else, you get more for your money.

GGuest UserMy spouse and I have stayed at Sheraton hotels in various locations several times before and have always had wonderful experiences, which is why we chose your hotel for this trip. Actually, before the trip, the hotel we were most looking forward to was the Sheraton. While the staff members we encountered were very friendly and tried their best to assist us, we unfortunately faced a challenging situation with our room. We were disturbed by a persistent noise since the afternoon. Initially, we were told it was from the laundry machines, but when a technician arrived late at night, it was identified as an Air Conditioning (AC) mechanical issue. Because the issue couldn't be resolved, we had to move to a new room after 11:00 PM. The wait and the move took nearly an hour, leaving us both feeling quite exhausted. This is the first time we’ve had such a terrible experience with Sheraton, and it significantly impacted our rest. Unfortunately, the Sheraton Hotel did not offer any compensation. Even when we called the front desk the following morning to request a delayed check-out due to a late-night room change, the front desk refused, citing the large number of guests checking in the next day. We only received permission for a two-hour delay after personally protesting at the front desk. Upon check-out, there were no room discounts or compensation offered whatsoever. As a five-star hotel, such mistakes are unbelievable. The experience that day completely shattered our positive impression of the Sheraton Hotel. I sincerely hope you will address the issues with both the facilities and the service to prevent future guests from experiencing a similar mishap.

SStan LeungCrimson Hotel has excellent staff, friendly service, and great facilities such as the bubble pool party on Saturdays and private beach snorkeling. The location is a bit far from the city, but the shuttle helps. Rooms are clean though somewhat dated, and dining in the hotel restaurants is pricey, with overall costs on the higher side.

Pros:
- It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel!
- Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people.
- Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless.
- I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help.
Cons:
- The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours.
- The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences.
- The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby.
- Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

Location is perfect, all the necessities can be found within a walking distance.
Amenities: All the important amenities are available except for hand towels and you have to beg for towels and pretty much the replenishment of amenities after the room is cleaned, far different from the last time when it was still Belmont.
First room we were given had a very mouldy smell and which gave the kids and I instant headaches. They eventually changed it after about 4 hours of waiting and intervention by Trip.com. This really put a damper on things.
Breakfast: Great, the variety is good, but it’s the same pretty much everyday.
The beach: Within 5 minutes walk, but don’t you dare lose of misplace the beach pass paper tag, they’re very uptight about it.
The beach if not the best beach, very rocky which makes swimming pretty uncomfortable.
However, the pool area is awesome and there are sun loungers all around and that makes up for the unpleasant beach.
They provide swimming towels too!
I must say it has developed a lot since the last time I was here and I can only hope they will keep improving.

LLeif ReyYou get what you pay for with this hotel. Although some of the appliances are old they still get the job done. The smart tv was a great addition to the room as it allowed us to watch and stream movies and tv shows. The only disappointing part was the internet connection as it wasn't stable and it wasn't fast enough to use reliably if you wanted to work.

AAnonymous UserThis was my second time staying at Solea Hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of food choices, and the room rates are affordable, which makes the hotel a good value for money.
However, I was slightly disappointed with the check-in process this time. We booked three rooms, but upon arrival, only one room was available. We were allowed to check in to the first room and were asked to wait there while the other two rooms were being prepared.
Although the official check-in time is 3:00 PM, we only received the keys for the remaining two rooms at around 5:40 PM. The staff kept telling us that the room keys would be “to be followed,” but despite several follow-ups, the waiting time took around 2–3 hours, which was quite long. Since the rooms were booked online in advance, we were expecting them to be ready on time.
That said, this was the only time I experienced this issue. During my first stay, everything went smoothly and I had no complaints. I still appreciate the hotel’s amenities and affordability, and I hope the check-in process can be improved in the future.

BBoris AtamanenkoIt's a mixed bag. The location is excellent, offering a different, good sea every day. For safe swimming, you need to follow the tide schedule. The hotel grounds and plants are very well maintained; they're beautiful and clean. There's a long stretch of beach for strolls. Logistically convenient – there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops selling travel essentials, and a market with fresh produce nearby. A major drawback is the large construction site nearby, which can be heard all day, especially in the bungalows nearby. The rooms and bungalows are in fair condition. However, there are some serious downsides: every other day, it was impossible to shower due to low water pressure; when the pressure was low, the water heater wouldn't turn on; and the water had a strong sewer smell. At breakfast, the restaurant won't offer you salt, pepper, or sauces unless you ask. Drinks include juice from concentrate or coffee. Only after a week did we discover they offer tea for breakfast. The breakfast is very basic, and there's no fruit at all, which is surprising given the price of fruit on the island. There was trash on the beach all week, just a little bit, washed up by the sea. It was cleaned up quickly, as it didn't require much effort. But why is the beach cleaned only once a week? The hotel website advertises a shuttle service, but I advise against it. Personal experience: I sent a text message and email to the hotel on time; our ferry departed at 5:30 PM. We arrived on the island around 7:00 PM. We weren't met. We got there ourselves. A hotel security guard met us at the hotel and gave us our room keys. It immediately became clear that the light switch in the bathroom was causing lightning and could shock us, and the water heater wasn't working. The security guard said, ”Take this up with the management tomorrow; my concern is safety.” Information about room problems is not passed on to the management. So, we spent the first night without hot water or power in the bathroom. After we contacted them, they gave us a working room mid-way through the second day. They didn't apologize for the missed shuttle service, and they didn't offer the stated compensation for our independent transfer. Moreover, I received a welcome email from the hotel after only one day of my stay. The hotel has adequate staff, and the people are positive and friendly. However, management, quality control, and leadership are seriously flawed. The rooms are overloaded with text reminders, rules, and restrictions, many of which would be confusing to a normal person. Or does the hotel manager think only people with dementia stay at their hotel? Reminders and restrictions are completely unnecessary if guests are greeted promptly and the necessary information is provided electronically in their native language.
