"The place is very nice overall, with great amenities and a comfortable setup. I especially appreciated having a washing machine and a space to dry clothes, which made a big difference during my long stay.
However, I found it quite odd that the kitchenette was essentially non-functional. I understand there may be fire safety regulations in Korea, but it still felt strange that there were no basic items provided, not even a plate or a spoon.
On the positive side, the shower was excellent, and the TV was modern and easy to use, I was able to download all the apps I needed without any issues. The heating system also worked perfectly, and the cleanliness was spotless throughout my stay.
That said, there were a few inconveniences. The smoking announcement played twice a day in three languages, which became quite annoying over time. I understand the importance of enforcing non-smoking rules and I’m also very sensitive to smells, but the repeated loud announcements can be disruptive, especially when trying to rest or work.
Another point is that there’s usually no staff at reception. I didn’t mind the self check-in process, it was actually quite easy, but when I did try to ask a question to the staff member who was present (handling check-in cards), she was quite impolite and unwilling to help. As a foreigner, I found this particularly discouraging. I was doing my best to communicate, and she didn’t make any effort to assist, even something as simple as connecting via KakaoTalk, which I had installed specifically for communication.
Lastly, I would suggest providing more toilet paper and tissues, especially for longer stays."

"Honestly, a very good hotel!
It’s located a brisk 10mins walk from dongdaemun station and jongno-5-ga. No steep hills or stairs to climb (except for the metro stations). There is also an Olive Young down the street and a few restaurants.
If you are not used to the sounds of the city it’s best to bring some earplugs as the main street going past the hotel can be a little noisy.
The hotel itself is great! Friendly staff, clean rooms and well decorated. The views are the best and if you get a corner room can even see the sunrise over the hills!

"Excellent! The room was very clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spacious. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, so you don't have to worry about finding food. There's even an OY (shopping area/department store, assuming 'oy' is a typo for a local landmark or shopping area) nearby to explore. We were only there for a short time as we were attending concerts for two days, but we slept very well. There were 3 complimentary bottles of water in the fridge, so we didn't have to worry about being thirsty. If Inspire is still open next time, we'll definitely stay here again~"

"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would happily book again.
The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Seoul Subway Line 5 (Purple Line), Exit 7, which made getting around the city easy. The area is also close to DDP, with two Olive Young stores nearby, so daily essentials and shopping were never an issue.
We stayed in a suite room, which was very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The entry foyer meant that while you could hear occasional movement from people passing through the lobby area, no noise reached the bedroom, so sleep quality was excellent. The bed deserves special mention — my husband is extremely picky with mattress firmness, and this one was fully husband-approved.
The room was spotless, well-heated (AC set to heating worked perfectly in winter), and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was excellent, with strong and consistent hot water, great cleanliness, and a bathtub, which was a must-have for us when booking.
Amenities were impressive for the price point:
• Fast, reliable Wi-Fi
• A huge TV (Netflix streaming worked perfectly)
• Very good quality hair dryer (not the cheap hotel kind)
• Full-length mirror cabinets, which were genuinely useful
• And a standout feature: the LG Styler, which was a huge plus and not something you find everywhere
The staff were warm, professional, and spoke very good English. We were also able to leave our luggage at reception after checkout while exploring the city, which made our last day stress-free.
Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value, comfort, and thoughtful details. Ideal for leisure travelers who want space, comfort, and a reliable base in Seoul. No complaints — just a very solid, well-executed stay."

"Pros:
It was my first time staying in a basement room, so I was a bit flustered, but it was just missing a window. The air was fresh, and it wasn't humid or dry, so the condition was really good.
The room was very spacious.
The floor heating worked well, and I preferred that it wasn't a carpeted floor.
The bathroom was also very large, and the pajamas were warm and comfortable.
The reception staff were incredibly friendly.
It was great to be able to take as much water as I wanted from the first floor.
There's an ice machine and a coffee machine on the first floor, which is nice. (Though it felt a bit awkward and embarrassing because the staff would stand up and greet me every time I passed the desk, haha.)
Although I didn't use it, breakfast is free.
I didn't hear any noise from other rooms, so it seems soundproofed.
You can store your luggage before and after check-in.
There's a CU convenience store nearby, and many street food stalls and restaurants, which is convenient.
It was convenient that delivery drivers could come right to the room door.
The location is good, close to the bustling area and bus stops.
There's a good speaker.
There's a very large TV with loud volume.
Cons:
The bed was too soft and didn't offer enough support, which caused back pain.
(Instead, the floor was spacious and clean, so I slept on the floor.)
There were two pillows; one was too high, and the other was a memory foam pillow that felt hard.
The hard memory foam pillow didn't pair well with the soft bed, which made my back and neck hurt even more.
Perhaps because it's a basement room, I heard the sound of water flowing from the ceiling wall all night.
Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would consider returning."

"Extremely satisfied! The overall ambiance has a very Japanese feel. After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to come back and relax in the bathtub.
It's not particularly close to Gongdeok Station, probably a 10-15 minute walk, but it's closer to Mapo. If you're traveling by bus, it's super convenient as there's a bus stop right downstairs. Plus, there's a Twosome Place, Olive Young, McDonald's, and Starbucks right below, and a food street with lots of dining options just across the road."

"I was here for a concert, and the hotel experience was great overall. The location is excellent, very close to Unseo Subway Station. From there, you can take the subway to Incheon Airport and then a free shuttle bus to Inspire, which made getting around super convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was warm and attentive. Check-in and check-out were quick, and overall, it offered great value for money."

"Great location, with an airport shuttle nearby and a subway exit within a 10-minute walk. The hotel is split into two buildings, A and B. "The Seoul Garden Hotel is a convenient and hassle-free choice overall. Also, the Jangsoo Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) restaurant on B1 of the office building across from the hotel is worth recommending; the service was excellent. The hotel itself is decent and standard. There are quite a few guests, so you might have to wait a bit for the elevators during peak hours. The rooms aren't huge, but they are fully equipped, especially with convenient charging ports, so you likely won't need to bring your own adapter. Overall, it's a practical hotel that excels in its location and convenience."
