"I stayed in a standard twin room. The room was clean, the amenities were adequate, and there was a table and chair next to the bed, as well as a large mirror, so I was able to stay comfortably.
The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and I was very happy.
The hotel staff were also kind, and were happy to accept my family's breakfast order, as they had stayed at another hotel at short notice, so we were able to all enjoy a delicious breakfast together.

"Good location, nearby fukui station, lot of restaurants surronding. Room was very clean, exceptionally clean in bathroom, with plenty of space, but the design was not quite making good use of space.

"The best thing about this hotel is its incredible location, just a minute's walk from the station. They offer a pillow selection, but it's first-come, first-served, so you need to grab one right after check-in, or they'll be gone. The public bath is compact but very clean, and I really enjoyed the open-air bath and sauna – perfect for warming up and relaxing after a cold day. It was also great to be able to do laundry while I was enjoying the bath. The complimentary ramen noodles in the evening were delicious. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Fukui."

"My wife and I have had a 2-night stay at this Hotel Keifuku Fukui Ekimae Room #707 from 11 to 13 October 2025.
The Hotel is just a 1-minute walk away from the Fukui Station. Its reception is small, and it has limited parking lots on the 1st Floor behind the Hotel. So we are grateful and thankful that we were given a lot for just ¥1000 per day for 2 days. The Hotel staff are polite and helpful, and are able to communicate in simple English.
As the Hotel is located right in the city centre, so shopping centres with eateries are within walking distance.
The hotel room is the standard typical type whereby it is very small but very clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable for our liking, and the very small bathroom (the WC is right next to the bathroom room) - again the typical Japanese type - is clean and its has strong water pressure for a comfortable shower.
We believe the Hotel is quite old as the general fittings and fixtures are very dated, but it is clean and well maintained.
At SGD S$107 per night, we find it not value for money at all, and, if the rate is remained the same or gets higher, we will choose to stay else where if we travel to Fukui again."

"This hotel locates next to the JR Fukui station, which is quite important because the required public transportation for tourists are all start from here, including the bus, JR, and local railway.
However, you can tell this hotel is quite old and only has refrained limited part such as the wall paper, which does not mean much to me. The air condition is not cooling, the toilet flush leaks frequently, these points are not often seen for a hotel in Japan.

"Hotel was located right next to the train station which was very convenient. Self Check-in and -out was simple via an automated station but the staff was quick to assist as it was my first time. Breakfast was rice with salad potato salad, omelette, miso soup and some bread. Orange juice or iced tea was also provided. Room was quite standard as with other hotels I've stayed in. Basic amenities are available to pick up at the ground floor if necessary."

SsilverdogWhile the building itself is a bit old, the room was incredibly clean, tidy, and comfortable. The housekeeping was clearly very thorough. The front desk staff wasn't overly warm or friendly, but they were very efficient and professional in their work, so I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. For the price, both the bath facilities and the meals were outstanding. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Fukui. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Is there a rule that you should wash your body before entering the bath as part of bathing etiquette?
I got in after rinsing off, and someone who was already in the bath reprimanded me, which made me feel very uncomfortable.
I was really looking forward to the bath, but it wasn't fun at all, and I got out immediately.
I felt so sorry for my mother who was in the bath with me, and it was very disappointing.

We are one berth and two meals. Dinner is basically full of seafood. There are many styles.

The bed was big and it was great.

AAnonymous UserThe Japanese-style room has three floors and no elevator. It is booked overseas nearly a month in advance. The store actually arranged to live on the third floor! The waiter helped to carry the suitcase upstairs. He was tired enough. The service three stars were given to him. Check out and climb the box.
The room is not big, public toilets, public bathrooms, many years have not lived in rooms without separate toilets, bathroom baths must be reserved in advance, can be washed for half an hour. Sound insulation is not good, affecting sleep.
Nearly 20,000 yen per night on weekends, I feel like I have been a big head, the facilities are old, fortunately it is still clean, maybe it is a cultural difference, it is indeed a different experience.
