"Booked an ocean view room (queen double) in the main building it was awesome. slept with the door open every night listening to the ocean. Bed was very comfortable, nice big room. Breakfast was very comprehensive. Loved the ability to check out the public baths and pools across the various group hotels. Conveniently located in the heat of American Village. Grab a coffee from Zhyvago and go for a walk along the foreshore in either direction. "

"I took bus 143 from Naha Bus Terminal to the American Village (it was the last stop for this bus, not sure where the actual last stop is) and walked for about 10 minutes to reach the hotel. Since it was before check-in time, I waited in the lobby, where complimentary drinks and cookies were available. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helped us store our luggage first; the service was excellent. After checking in, we were given an upgraded room, much larger than what we had booked, which was fantastic! American Village at night is beautiful and definitely worth staying for a night."

For this trip to Okinawa, I chose La'Gent Hotel Chatan, and I honestly think it offers incredible value for money! Whether you're a backpacker, a couple, or a group of friends traveling together, this hotel is a perfect fit~
Why do I recommend it?
Its location is superb, within walking distance to Mihama American Village! It's super convenient for dining, shopping, and enjoying the night view~
The rooms and public areas are incredibly clean (really cleaner than I expected 😳), especially the spacious bathroom.
The communal kitchen is very useful, equipped with a fridge, microwave, and tableware, perfect for buying groceries and cooking your own meals~
There's parking available (¥550/night). Although the lot isn't huge, it's first-come, first-served. I recommend getting back early to secure a spot~"

"Hotel building is quite old and dated as well as the room.
Toilet and shower is small and cramped.
There is washing machine and dryer on 2nd level of the property but weirdly after 8:30pm unable to use the dryer.
Parking is 1000yen per day, expensive.
Location is beside the beach, surroundings mostly residential properties with no convenience stores nearby.
Good service by front desk reception when checking in.
Overall recommend for people on budget and with lesser people."

"The reason to go to this hotel is because it is extremely convenient and has a great view. We came here last year, but it was cheaper last year. We were surprised to learn that the car parking is now something you have to pay, which wasn't the case last year. Seems like a very cheap decision on their part considering the hotel is already pretty expensive. Also be prepared, the room will not be the newest or cleanest. It had a bit of mold on the wall around the AC unit, and the walls needed to be repainted and fixed on some parts."

"The place is about 5min drive to the American Village. It's actually a long walk to the village even though the people tells u it's just near by. You can walk...
If you are a Singaporean, double confirm chop, you should drive. Our walking distance for far and near is very very different from the Japanese and Koreans, or most other countries. Due to our efficient public transport system, we are spoilt. We don't really walk that much, so conserve your energy for exploration and shopping, not walking. 😄
This hotel has staff that speaks excellent English, a refreshing change after a few days in Okinawa. They provide a simple free breakfast and have a separate showroom and WC. The shower room is really tiny. But the overall stay is very comfortable.
It's definitely worth a repeat booking."

"We arrived at the hotel early on the day of our arrival. Although we were unable to check in early, the front desk politely stored our luggage for us. The view from the terrace is superb and the sunset is beautiful. The American Village sets off fireworks every Saturday, and you can see them from the terrace. There are many check-in locations near the hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Okinawa."

"Our plan for booking this hotel was to do a one-day northern Okinawa tour by car from Naha Kokusai Dori on the same day. It was 17,000 yen for 8 hours, and after researching the distances between a few spots, we knew we'd need to manage our time carefully. The hotel itself is very close to the beach and not far from American Village on foot. After our driver dropped us off at the hotel once we finished at Cape Zanpa, we took our time exploring American Village. In reality, even after narrowing it down to just three places (aquarium - Manzamo - Cape Zanpa), we still went over by about 10 minutes. The driver initially insisted we pay an extra 200 yen, which caused a bit of a disagreement. The hotel itself is quite good; the rooms are spacious, offer direct ocean views, and provide a fantastic spot to watch the sunset over American Village. The self-service laundry room being free is a definite plus. The next morning, when we took a taxi to Tomari Port, the front desk staff even kindly warmed up two bags of bread for us."

The room is very clean and comfortable, yet just a bit too dim for overall lighting, hope to have more lights in the room. The club service was really good, love the idea that customers could enjoy refreshments for free almost throughout the day. There’s a high chance of me staying there again, if I would like to have a quiet time during my trip.

蘿蘿菈The hotel is in an excellent location, in the first row with sea views. The rooms are very spacious. Although it is an old hotel, it still looks very good overall. Some of the furniture is a little old, but it does not affect the quality of the stay. The shower in particular is great. The hotel provides traditional breakfast, which we are a little uncomfortable with. Overall, the CP value is quite high and it will be included in the options for returning.

There are bottle water and beers for sale in the lobby, with reasonable prices - very convenient. And another small thing that I personally found convenient was that - they just put clean towels and disposable chopsticks in the lobby, and we can get at anytime, and no need to wait for house keeping.
A few suggestions though: can add 1-2 cushions for the wooden chair, which will make it more comfortable to sit on; And the blanket was too thick for summer, could’ve been better to provide a thinner option.

EEstherThe hotel was very spacious for me and my 14 year old son. We landed at Naha and took the city bus to the hotel. It was very convenient because the bus stop is literally right next tot he hotel.
My only challenge was getting a taxi because it was my very first time in Japan and I didn’t know there’s a taxi app available. so no one onsite until 10am but i needed to be somewhere by 0830. But they do have have starbucks and Mcdonals within walking distance g distance and American Village was about 15-20 minutes away. I enjoyed my stayed there and I would recommend it to anyone that would like to save more but having a good place to stay.
It had its down washer n dryer in the room, tub was separated from the shower which I absolutely loved it. full kitchen was also in our room.

It was equipped with a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, which met the requirements of traveling with children. If you drive, you need to pay extra to park in the parking lot downstairs.

기기묭진It was nice that it was not too far from the bus stop. Once you get there, the host is there and speaks English and Japanese. He is very kind. His voice tone makes you think he would do well on a podcast. The facilities were also very clean. I walked 30 kilometers a day by myself, but when I came back to the accommodation, it was so healing. I would like to use it again next time I go nearby.
